The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned, regular session
pursuant to adjournment of June 3, 1907, President Lawrence presiding and the following
Trustees being present: Blodgett, Hale, Rich and Villinger.
The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
The petition of W. A. Young Lumber Co. asking permission to erect a frame addition to
their Planing mill on block 28 of East Lodi read and on motion regularly made, seconded
and carried the petition was
Granted.
Communication of the Larkin Mfg. Co. read and placed on file.
The following communication was then read and placed on file:
To Honorable Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi,
Gentleman:
"We, the undersigned, hereby tender our services to the City of Lodi, as volunteer
firemen, and agree to observe all ordinances and rules governing fire companies in said
City. Hilliard E. Welch, M. Wm. Whittaker, Chester B. Welsh, John H. Murphy, Paul J.
Roch, J. T. Montgomery, J. Chas. Ferguson, John J. Gordon, J. Harny Martin, John Scott,
Grant W. Schroeder, Oluf Johnson, George A. Rich. W. J. Thomayer, J. G. Anderson,
Will Collier, T. H. Myers, W. A. Spooner, Jack Drury, T. Nanchope, Perry L. Gum, A. J.
Weinert, Edward E. Breitenbucker, Dilse Hopkins, B. C. Dougherty, C. R. Guggoz, Jr.,
T. R. Lillie, W. R. Channer, Joseph DelValle, Jack Bear, F. A. Rich, Stearly, V. R.
Larson, J. E. Hopkins, F. H. McLochlan, S. F. Duree, A. P. Wakefield, A. E. Wanchope."
It was moved by C.A. Rich, seconded by F. 0 Hale, that the above list of volunteers be
approved, carried. So ordered.
Communication of E. J. Jones, relation to Ordinance No 25 read, and placed in file.
Ordinance No 25 entitled, "An Ordinance Providing a System for the Assessment, Levy
and Collection of Taxes by and for the City of Lodi," having been read and introduced in
June, 1907was read and placed on passage.
It was then regularly moved by J. M. Blodgett, seconded by L. Villinger that Ordinance
No. 25 be adopted as read. The motion was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, L. Villinger, and C.A. Rich.
Noes: None
So Ordered
Matter of presenting a Claim to the board of Supervisors for moneys due the City of Lodi was
taken up and the City Clerk was instructed to take the matter up with E. F. Jones, Esq.
No further business coming before the Board, the Board then on motion regularly made,
seconded and carried, adjourned.
