HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - December 10, 1906Public Hall, Lodi, California, Dec. 10, 1906 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi reconvened pursuant to adjournment of Dec. 7, 1906, the following Trustees being present: Geo E. Lawrence, F. O. Hale, Leon Villinger and J. M. Blodgett. Trustees Lawrence, Hale, Villinger, and Blodgett and Clerk McMahon respectfully subscribed to the oath of office in the presence of W. H. Loring, Notary Public. Mr. W. H. Lorenz then called the meeting to order and then called for nominations for president of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi. G. E. Lawrence was then placed in nomination by A. M. Blodgett and elected by a unanimous vote to the office of President of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi. Being conducted to the chair, President Lawrence thanked the Board for the honor conferred, and expressed his intentions to discharge the duties of the office to the best of his ability. Communications: Communications of Harrison Brannock soliciting appointment as Pound master, read and placed on file. Communication of Greer MacDonald asking permission to petition for a Liquor License read and placed on file Communication of W. D. Stannard, M. D., soliciting appointment as Health Officer read and placed on file. Communication of T. W. Coleman, M. D. soliciting appointment as Health Officer read and placed on file. Communication of C. C. Spence, City Clerk of Biggs, Cal. read and placed on file Communications of W. H. Monson, City Clerk of Wheatland, California, tending us a copy of the Ordinance of the Town of Wheatland, read, placed on file and the clerk directed the reply to Mr. Monson offering the thanks of the Board. Moved by F. O Hale, seconded by J. M. Blodgett that the clerk be instructed to purchase all necessary books, blank forms and such other things as may be necessary for the proper transaction of the business of the City, carried and ordered. Moved by J. M. Blodgett, seconded by F. O. Hale that the Board of Trustees act as a Committee of the Whole to formulate an ordinance fixing the time of meeting. Carried & so ordered.
