HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - October 2, 1911199 Public Hall,Lodi,:alifornia.Oct.2,1911. •In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City cf Lodi,the following trustees being present: J.M.biodgett,F.O.Hale, G.E.Lawrence,C.A.Rich and L.Villinger. President Lawrence •presiding. The minutes of the meeting of Sep.25,1911.were read and approved. Communication from the Secretary of the State Board of Health.advising that the convention of ?Health Officers of the State cf California would be held at the Santa Barbara Oct.23,was read and referred to the Board of Health. A letter from Engineer Henderson,stating that owing to the death of his brother,he would be unable to be present.was read and filed. The reports of the Poundmaster,}darshal and Sewer Inspector fro the month of September were read.approved and ordered filed. The following applications for Building Permits were read and granted: Henry Pope,dwelling on lot 11 block 46;. A.Lilienthal,shed on lot 8 block 8,Barnhart Tract; M.A.Bull,addition to dwelling at 514 E.Oak Street; J.E.Crose,buggy shed and improvements on lot 26.block 48; Julius Bogdan,garage on•lot 20 block S Barnhart Tract. Various clai?ns against the City aggregating the sum of 2988.07,having been approved by the Auditting Committee.were allowed and ordered paid: W.H.Tho 1pson offered the City the. dirt from a basement 36'x 64'-7ft.deep. The matter was referred to the Supt.of Streets and the Street Committee. The Clerk was instructed to write Supervisor Newton asking that one cell in the jail be set aside for the use of the City. Trustee Rich moved that the President of the Board of Trustees be instructed to cash the certified check of the Ransome Crumney Company,who had failed to sign the contract for street work. ]o second.
