In adjourned regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi. the following t+'ustees being present: J.M.Blodgett, F.O.Hale,G.E.Lawrenee,C.A.Rich and L:Villinger. President -Lawrence presiding. The minutes of the meeting of Aug.21,1911,were read and • approved. Dr.A.M.Tower was granted a permit to construct a garage at 101 W.Elm Street. A communication from H.H.Henderson stating that he had been called to Nevada and could not be present at the Board meeting was read and filed. Upon motion of Trustee Hale.seconded by Trustee 3lodgett, Supt.Henning was 1ns,ructed to have the fire hydaants painted white. In the matter of the rate to be charged the Precooling Rx Plant for electric current a flat rate of $1000.00 per month was suggested,and also a meter rate of 24 per K.W.Hr.with a minimus: of not less than $800.00 per month. It seemed to be the prevailing sent- iment that a bond be required to guarantee the payment of the bills. The matter was finally left in the hands of Supt.Henning without definite action by the Board. City Marshal Coleman stated the necessity If having a night -man on during the' fruit season. It was moved by Trustee dale and seconded by -Trustee Rich taht the Board appoint a night-watchman at a salary of not to exceed $75.00 per month for two months. The notion was carried.
