In regular session of the Boa"d of Trustees of the City of Lodi.the following trustees being present: F.O.Hale,G.E.Lawrence and C.A.Rich. Absent: J.V.3lodgett and L.Villinger. The minutes of the meeting of June 12,1911,were read and approved. Henpy Lighthouse was granted a Permit to erect a brick building on lot 7 of Block 14. W.L.Robison appeared before the Board and informed them that Dr.Colnan had made complaint aga'nst then in regard to the drain- age from the bar -room. He atated that they intended to b;ild a new hotel and wou,d probably start operations within sixty or ninety days and that they did not lire to spend any mo ey for plumbing at the present tirle,if the: could help it. He said that he had talked with Gus Gerlach and had found out that it would be quite an expense to them,and that he would prefer to have the Board consider the matter and see if soraethin cou.d be done. He said 1f they did not build that they would attend to the plumbing. The Board promised to take the matter up with the Health 3aard. T.E.wilkinson appeared before the Board in regard to his application for a building permit.which was denied at the meeting of June 12th. He stated that the building was almost completed at the time the permit was refused and that he did not want to tear it down or move it away unless hhad to. The President of the Board stated that the Board would consider the matter and let him know their decision on the 20th.inst. Mr.3rower appeared before the 3oard and asked permission to remove the Pioneer Fruit Shed from its present site on the Railroad property on :.fain Street to nock 72 of the 3arnhart Tract. On motion, the permission was granted. Ordinance No.56,amending Ordinance No.40 was read and introduced and laid on the table for not less than five days. Inspedtor Hepper stated that the numpsat the septic tank was too small to pimp the seepage water fast enough. The Trice of electricity for pumping purposes at the septic tank was also discussed. The President of the Board said he would take the matter of rate up with Engineer Henderson on the 20th. Supt.Henning stated th t a number of Japanese on the East side wanted to lay a 3" pipe and p rehase fire hose and wanted to know if the City w ',ld help pay the expnse.It was the opinion Cf the Bd. that the City ;vo:_d not do so.
