Public Ha11,Lodi,California. June 5,1911.
In regular session of the Hoard of Trustees of the City
of Lodi,the following trustees being present: J.M.Hlodgett,F.O.Hale,
G.E.Lawrence.C.A.Rich and L.Villinger. ?resident Lawrence presiding.
The minutes of the meeting of May 29,1911, were read and
approved.
The•Reports of the City Marshal,City ?oundnaster and Plumb—
ing Inspector for the month of May were read and approved.
The following applications for Building Permits were read
and granted:
W.S.Robbirs,addition to dwelling on lot 2 block 25;
F.L.Cornwel_,addition to barn Cor.Halnut & Cherokee Sts.;
L.C.Lattin,dweliing on lot 12 block 4 E.Lodi.
An application for a street light on E.Locust St.was read
and referred to the street committee.
A.P.Kru!nb asked permission to connect the plumbing at
the Producer Fruit Company's new shed with the City sewer on Sacramento
St. He was given the required permission.
J.M.Arpleton stated that the Pacific Fruit Cooling Co.wanted
to dispose of their surplus water into the City sewers. The matter
was laid on the table to be taken up with Engineer Henderson.
The matter of furnishing water to the Basket Factory and
t' -e new shed of the Pacific Fruit Express was taken up and Supt.
Henning authorized to lay the necessary pipe to rear: the last
mentioned place,but the matter of the Basket factory was laid on the
table.
Various claims against the City,having been approved by
the Audittin? Committee,were allowed and ordered paid to the amount
of $3137.75.
The claim of H.H.Henderson for $150.00 on account of contract
was allowed in the sura of $100.00,that being the balance due on con—
tract.
The application of C.H.McCully for permission to connect
with the City sewer on Quimby Avenue south of ;he City limits was
read and,upon motlon,it was ordered that the permit be granted upon
the payment by the applicant of the sum of $50.00.
The matter of the City contributing toward the furnishing
of concerts by the Tokay band was referred to the Street Committee.
The !natter of furnishing current for the precooling plant
was discussed.

The matter of wages for the city lineman was discussed by
a representative of the unions and laid on the table till the next
meeting.
On motlon,Supt.!enning was instructed to lay 66O ft. of
pipe in the Barnhart Tract and place a fire plug.
The Clerk was instructed to notify D.P.Doepke that the
city would not undertake to purchase his place.
On motion,the City Clerk was granted a two weeks leave
of absence beginning June 11,1911.
On motion.the Board t -len adjourned until June 12,1911.at
the usual hour and place.
