Public Hall,Lodi.California.May 22,1911.
In adjourned regular session of the Board of Trustees of
the City of Lodi,the following trustees being present: G.E.Lawrence,
C.A.Rich and L.Villinger. Absent: J.M.31odgett and F.0.Hale.
The Minutes of the Meeting of May 15,1911,were read and
approved.
The fol].^wing application for Building Permits were read
and granted:
A,C.Keagle,addition to dwg.On lot 3 blk 8 Barnhart Tract;
N.D-.Voorheis,clwelling on lot 1 blk 1 Barnhart Tract.
The application of the Keasle—Pearson Co.,for permission
to bury a 110 gal.asoline tank in, School Street south of Pine Street
was read and on motion the permit was granted with the proviso that
the tank and pipe be removed at the pleasure of the Board.
The claim of W.S.Eickman of $15.00 for ;raking, a list of
transfers of real property was read and ordered paid.
Warrants were ordered drawn for $32.00 in favor of J.M.Mc
Mahon for ;coneys paid by him for labor and freight.
. The matter of furnishing water to the Burr Addition,having
been referred to Supt.Henning at the last meeting.was taken up.
Supt.Henning reported.that about five parties wanted water on
Woodbridge Ave,and that the cost of reaching them would be about
$100.00. On motion,the extension was. ordered made.
The natter of locating the sanitary drinking fountain was
taken un and referred to the Street Committee.
An application for a franchise by the California Traction
Company was read,received and ordered filed.
Ordinance No.55,an ordinance granting the company the
franchise asked for was read,and,on motion,introduced and laid on
the table for not less. than five days.
Supt.Henning reported that a great waste of water was being
carried on in the City; that the city was pumping about 1500000 gal.
of water daily. It was suggested that inspections be made and the
guilty ones fined as provided by ordinance and meters put on wherever
water was being wasted.
On motion,the 3oard adjourned till May 29,1911,at the usual
hour and place.
