In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi,the following trustees being present: J.M.Blodgett,F.O.Hale, G.E.Lawrence and C.ARich..-Absent: L.Villinger. The minutes of the meeting of April 24.1911,were read and approved. The following applications for Building Permits were read and granted: F.W.Colman,addition to dwg.at 115 W.Oak St.; G.W.Brown,dweliing in Burr Addition; B.F.3est,remodellins bldg.lot 5 block.20. The _reports of the City Marshal and Poundmaster for th- month of April were.read and approved. work The Diagram of proposed street,,under Resolution of Intent- ion No.1,prepared by Engineer Tumelty,was,on motion adopted by the affirmative votes of Trustees J.M.Blodgett,F.O.Hale,G.E.Lawrence and C.A.Rich. A comrouniaotion from the Lodi Merchants Association,regard- ing the installation of signal bell at the railroad crossings,was read and the Clerk instructed to take the matter up with the City Attorney. A communiaction from the Lodi Merchants Association,recom- mendin_ that all nildings in the business section of the City be of some fire -?roof material was read and filed. Quotations from Y.& E.Co „quoting price or certain filing cabinets was read and laid on the table. Steam Guages, 5.00 Total claims Allowed, 4434:0505 Mr.D.W.3ird,representing the Civic League,appeared before the 3oard in behalf of an ordinance removing the card tables from the cigar stores and saloons. The bond of Samson Iron Works in the sun of 31000.00 was on motion approved. The contract with Samson Iron Works,signed by the Company and the President of the 3oard was filed with the Clerk. The matter of a generator was left in the hands of Supt. Henning and Engineer Henderson. The specifications for the foundation of the Gas engine were read and,on motion,adopted. On motion,the Hoard adjourned until May 8,1911,at the usual hour and place. Attest. City Cleric.
