In adjourned regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi,the following tru=.tees being present: J.}.i.Blodgett, F.O.Hale,G.E.Lawrence,C.A.Rich and L.Vi11inger. President Lawrence presiding. The Minutes of the meeting of Mar.20,1911,were read and approved. The folowing applications for Building Permits were read and granted: Mary A Clark,dwell1ng on lot 6,blk 41; • Lodi Storage & Milling Co.,Warehouse on lots 1.2.& 3.blk 3 M -H Add;1 Dr.W.M.Mason.dwg.on lots 5&6,blk 12,and permit to move bldg.fr.saidtlot H.N.Madison.add to•dwg at 14 S.School St.; Western States Gas & E1.Co.,trans.hs.lot 14 blk•48 B&K Add.; Chas.Sollars,remodellln of 9 N.Sac.St.; Lodi Storage & Mllg.Co. ,Barley M111.lot 4 talc 3 U -H Add. The hour having arrived for the opening of bids for a Gas Englne.the following bids were opened and read by the Clerk:. Atlas Gas Anglne Co.,max bid, $4303.00 Fairbanks -Morse Co:, " " 4527.00 Western Gas Engine Co.," " 4000.00 Samson Iron Works, " If gxxx.2450.0O The matter of awarding the contract or rejecting the bids was postponed for one week. Fire Chief Welch took up the matter of a fire alarm system, submitting recommendations from Engineer Henderson. No action was taken. The matter of Street lighting was discussed and referred to Supt.Henning for a report to the committee of the whole. Ordinance No.53.entitled."An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No.2,entltled,'An Ordinance Relating to the Licenses,Lioense Tax Rates, and the Regulation of Certain Classes of Business and Certain Shows, Exhibitions and Lawful Games in the City of Lodi'°.having been read and introduced on March 20,1911,wae read and placed on passage. It was moved by Trustee Rich and seconded by Trustee Blodgett that Ordinance No.53 be adopted as read,which motion was carried and the ordinance adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees J.M.31odgett,F.0.Hale,G.N.Lawrence,C.A.Rich and L.Villinger. Noes: None. Ft‘ RD i4ti - Upon motion of Trustee Rich,seconded by Trustee Villinger, the following warrants were ordered drawn: No.2 On the Water Fund in favor of Municipal Improvemet Fund^for the sum of $2480.00; On the Light Fund in .favor of Municipal Improvement Fund No.2 for the sum of $3540.00. • The above warrants were drawn for the purpose of apportioning from the Water and Light Funds to the Municipal Improvement Fund No.2 the sum of $6000.00 to provide for extensions and improvements. The matter of Street Sprinkling was left in the hands of the Street Committee. The Board then adjourned. Attest:
