Of t.:0 Board of Trustees Of the City of Lodi,the follo•.Ni_ng Trustees being-oresen : J....31od;ett, G.E.LawrenCe,C.A.Rich and L.'Tillir,ger, Absent: Trustee Hale. President Lawrence /Presiding. The Minutes of the previous Meeting were read and approved. A communication from the Standard ,later Meter Co. was read al:,'. flied. A communication from Health Office= Colman in regard to the water collecting in pools in front :f the Hotel tel was read and re— ferred to the Supt. of Streets. A cor:~-:nicati;r from G.G.F:epper asling for ,he position of Plumbing inspector was read and Tiled. Engineer recon ended that Appleton and "r}ederic.:son Pros. be ;ranted a two weeks' extension Of time in which to complete their contract. Upon notion of Trustee Rich,seconded by Trustee Blodgett, the extension was "ranted. A communication from .h, Pacific Tel .& Te1.Co.as::ir.g for premtssio n to use some of the City poles was read and referred to _ngi_n,eer Henderson and Superintendent Henning. The matter 0_ placing water meters was left in the hands of Superintendent Henning,with a recommendation that the two inch meter now doinv service at the par:: be placed at the LOdt Hotel. Supt.Henning was instructed to get a pair Of rubber boots for the ':se of the pipe roan. It was resolved that out of the tax levy of 1909 the sum Of 900.00 be apportioned from the General Fund to the Library Fund for use during the fiscal y93r of 1910-11. It was _roved and seconded that the ?resident of the Board be authorized to.enter into a contract with American Cast Iron Pipe Co.and with United States Pipe Co. The iot`on was carried by the affirmative votes of Trustees 31odgett,3ich and Villinger. iJpon the recoirnendati n of Engineer :.enderson,it was order— ed *by . oticr regularly made and carried,tha t the Bond of the Ar.:ercian Cast Iron Pipe Company be fixed at ,510,000.00 and Of the United States Pipe Company at fi1,000.CC. It was moved and seconder`. that ,_his Hoard do now adjourn until Friday ever.ing,July 29th.,1910,at the usual hour and place. Carried and so orderd,
