Public Hall,Lodi,California.July 11,1910.
In adjourned regular session of the Board of Trustees of
the City of Lodi,the following Trustees beim: present: J.ai.31odett,
_.C.Hale,G.E.Lawrence,C.A.Rich and _.Villin3er, ?residnt _a'.'.'rence

The n.iinutes of the previous Meeting were read and approved.
Jas.R Wherity was granted a peritt to remodel the front
of 9-15 South Sacramento Street.
The deports Of the City Clerk for the Quarter ending
June 30,1910,anc_ for the Fiscal Yea= ending June 30,191:,,were read
and ap.roved.
The ::.atter of awarding the contract for :Tater Pipe etc.
was taken up. President Lawrence stated that Engineer Henderson
had sent him a message that he could not be present at this time
and asked that the matter be postponed till Wednesday evening. The
postponement was opposed and it ;;as suggested that the Board pass
a resolution specifying certain tines that the Engineer nust be
on the job. Mr.Bassford of the Crane Co*m!.any was present and said
that it was hardly fair to him to again postpone the matter.
It was moved by Trustee :tale,and seconded by Trustees Rich and.
Villinger,that the bid of Crane Company for Cast Iron Pipe and Spec-
ial Castings and Valves and Valve Boxes be accepted,that bid being
the lowest and best bid. The notion was carried b.' the following
vote: Ayes: Trustees Hale,Rich and Villinger. Noes Trustee Blodgett
and President Lawrence.
The bond of Perrin Bros,for $162.22 to guarantee the faith -
full perfor;:.auce of their contract was read,the sureties being
C.D.Russill and W.O.Corbin. It developed that it was necessary for
them to file an additional bond to guarantee the payment of material
Then and labor,so the matter was lald on the table until that bond
was filed.
Eleven bids for street sprinkling,varying from X4.80 to
$3.45 ,'were opened and react. It was moved by Trustee Vill i ager, second-
ed by Trustee Hale,that the bid of Glen C.:'oore of $3.45,bein_g the
lowest and best bid be accepted. The motion was carried by the affirm-
ative votes Of Trustees Hale,Blodgett,Rich and Villinger.
A claim; from Ap_oleton and Frederickson 3ros.for $1000.00
on sewer contract was approved by the Engineer,the committee of
Sere_ Construction and the 3oar'd.
