The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in
adYo rned regular session,pursuant to adjournment of May 23rd.,1910,
?resident G.B.Lavrence presiding and the follo-,ing other mer bers of
the 3oard being uresent• J. :Blodgett,F.0:H.le,C.A.Rich and L.Villinger.
The :,_inutes of the Previous :fleeting were read and approved.
The following Applications for Building Permits were react
and granted:
_..R.Heryford,Auto-house on Lots 5&C of 3lock 1;
7.7.Gi11ispie,Addition to Woodshed at 323 N.Church St.
The Application of 7.0.Roc:hette for a,position with the City
Water dant was read and filed.
Mr. J . Ne rfield and :.:r. Griggsby asked if they would be able
to get water,lights and sewer service on the west side of Hutchins
Street,outside the City limits. The President informed them that
they would -.;e. supplied with water and lights,but the matter of
sewerage would be considered later;
The following bids for Steel Tan.: and Tower were opened and.
read:
Fredk.C.Roberts &.Co..ti:e tan: and tower with stand pipe, -
as designed by H.H.Henderson,for.?7282.CC; according to the standard
design of the Chicago Bridge E. Iron Works,for :C582.0C.
Les .'cines 3ridge & Iron Co.,as designed by 3er.derson,for
S625C.0C; according to their standard plans and specifications,for
q5750 00
Owing to the absence of Engineer Henderson,the matter.of
awarding the contract was laid on the table till Saturday evening,

A representative of the General Electric Co.asked the 3oard3-
to consider the hatter of contracts for the furnishing of meters and
transformers. He was informed that the Board was not ready to do so
at this time.
'.:r.Cole asked for information as to the running of the:.
sewer across his lots in Block 7 E.Lodi,t:hrough which there was no
alley. He said he was ;pilling to give an easement,but wanted the natter
delayed till after the garden thereon matured. No action was taken.

The following bids for Stre't Sprinkling with the four
hors`: wagon were opened and read:
Eelbert ilson, $5.50 per day;
F.F.Trey, 5.90 per day;
J.H.3owling, 5.50 per day;
Peter 'Wagemann, 5.00 per day.
The matter of awarding the contract was taken under advisement
awaiting the report of the Street Committee.
It was suggested that the Fire Chief be instructed to have
a new rope attached to the fire bell.
The sewer committee reDorted having decided not to go south of
Lodi =.ve.i!1 the 3 :rn.iart Tract with t_ e sewer at this tine.
A clam presented by Appleton and Frederickson 3ros.,not having
been approved: by the Engineer and COmmit tee on Sewer Construction,
was laid on the table.
The Clerk was instructed to write the American River Electric
Coin regard to tie contract for power.
?ir.Houtchins of the 3urroughs Adding Machine Co.was present
and the matter of purchasing an Adding r:achine was taken up. It was
moved and carried that the matter be postponed till after the first
of July.
The Clerk was instructed to write the Southern Pacific Co.in
regard to the matter of the crossing of their right of way by con—
duits for electric wires,informing them that,as our engineer was
unavoidably absent.the matter was deferred.
In the clatter of the necessary books for the water and light
syste:s,the Clerk was,on :motion duly made and carried,instructed to
prepare plans and specifications for the sale and submit to differ—
ent firms for bids.
It eras moved and seconded that this 3oard do now adjourn till
Saturday evening,Ju^,e 4th.at .the usual hour and place. Carried and
so ordered.
