The Board of Trustees of the Cit: of Lodi convened in
adjourned regular session,pursuant to adjournment of ;.ray 2nd.,
Pre-iiaent G.E.La:rrence presidinz and the following other :_;embers
Lf the 3oard being present: J.9I.31odgett,F.0.Hale,C.A.Rich and
L.Villinger.
The Minutes of the Previous Meetin& were read and approved.
A letter from Judge Jones in regard to the opening of an
alley in ;?t.Lodi was read and filed,and the Board decided that
instead of forcing an alley through they would take
a Sewer right of way.
A letter from the Cheroke Lane Telephone
easements for
Co.,asking for
permission to place poles on the streets of the City,was read,and
it was decided to ;-;et Judse Jones' opinion as to whether such per—
mission could be granted without being in the form of a franchise.
The following applications for Building Permits were read
and ;;ranted:
Mrs 3.3.cClure,addition to dwellirig,at 403 S.School St.
So Na._ aee,addition to building at 110 3.Em: St.
Aoleton and Frederickson stated that they would like to
Zet a nayr13nt on their cOntract,claining that they were entitled to
a payrlert at this time. They were informed that the Board would take
the natter up with the engineer.
The following' claims against` the City,havin;; been laid on
the table at the last meeting,were read,allowed and ordered paid:

Plans and Specifications for the proposed Steel Tank for
the Water VTorks,prepared by H.H.Henderson,were read,and upon motion.
of Trustee Hale,seconded by Trustee Rich the plans and specifications
were adopted as read.
City Clerk '!cMahon made application for a leave of absence
from to City for a period of ten days from May l5th.,1910.
Upon motion regularly made thepermission was granted.

It was moved,seconded and carried that the following Notice
Inviting Proposals. be published for ten days in the Lodi Sentinel:
NOTICE INVITING PROPOSALS
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A STEL TANK.
Sealed proposals will be received by the Board 0±. City
Trustees of the City of Lodi,at the office of the City Clerk,Lodi,
Cal.,until 8:00 o'clock P.M.,May 31st.,1910,for the furnishing of
materials for the construction of a steel tank and accessories,for
said City.accordinE: to plans and specifications prepared by H.H.
Henderson,_ngineer,on file in the City Clerk's office,and dated
May 9th.,1910.
The approximate size of the tank is as follows: -
Capacity 100,000 gallons;
Diameter 22 feet;
Height of tank walls 28 feet;
Circular in form with hemispherical bottom;
Height of tower 100 feet;
Riser pipe 10" in diameter;
The specifications and plans may be seen and obtained at
the office of H.H.Her.derson,Stockton,Cal.,or at the office of the
City Clerk,Lodi,Cal.
Ali proposals must be made in the form as delineated in
the specifications.
A certified check in the sum of 105"of the aggregate bid,
payable to the order of the City Clerk,of the City of Lodi,must ac-
company each bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all
bids.
