Public Hall,Lodi,California.May 2,1910.
The Board of Trustees of the City off Lodi convened in
regular. session,President G.E.Lawrence presiding and the following
other Members of the Board being present: J.M.Blodgett,F.O.Hale,
C.A.Rich and L.Villinger.
The Minutes of the Previous Meeting were read and approved.
Mr.Walter asked that he be furnished water on his property
in the Barnhart Tract. He said that Cary Bros.had advised him to
take the Natter up with the 3oard. The Clerk was instructed to ask
Cary Bros. to tap for Mr.Walter,charging hin $2.50 for the servlse
and charging any excess cost to the City.
Mr.Herry Perrin stated that it was impossible for hire
to get a supply of water in his houses on E.Pine Street from the
Pine Street main. Ha said that if he could not get better service
he would be obliged to put up a tank and water plant of his own.
After discussion,it was decided to run a temporary pipe line from
the Oak Street main to the alley back of Perrin's property,the City
to furnish the pipe to the property line,and Perrin to do the ex-
cavating and pay for the tapping. .tr.Perrin was instructed to do
the work and present a bill to the City for the pipe.
A letter from the American River Electric Company stating
their reasons for the delay in returning the contract was read and
filed.
The Reports of the Marshal and the Poundmaster for the month
of April were read and filed.
The 3ond of W.H.Lorem as City Treasurer with the following
sureties in the sum of Twenty-four Hundred Dollars each was read and
accepted: Geo.F.MCNob1e,T.C.Shaw,Geo.W.LeMoin,E.E.Morse,and Wilson
H. Thompson.
The following Applications for Building Permits were read
and granted:

The following resolution was then read and introduced:
WHEREAS,the residents of the City of Lodi did vote bonds for
the construction of a Light and "later Plant and a Sewerage System;

interests of tAid City and all concerned that the construction of
the same be placed in the hands of a competent engineer;
Novi Therefore Be It Resolved that G.^.Lawrei ce,President Of the
3oard of Trustees of the City of Lodi,is hereby authorized and di-
rected to enter into a contract ','lith H.H.^e:tderson.a competent civil
engineer,for the supervising and ent ineering and construction of the
Sewer aid Licht and '.later Works of said City of Lodi; said agreement
to require that he furnish all labor in connection with the survey-
ing reauired in the construction of said plant for the sum of Three
Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars (x3800.00 ),payMents' to be made as
the worn: progresses,Which suLl is hereby found by the said Trustees
to be a reasonable and just com ?Jensatior for said worn.
It '.'ras regularly moved and seconded that the foregoing, resolut-
ion be adopted as read,which motion: was carri ed,bnci the resolution
adopted.
