The 3oard of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in ad- journed regular session,pursuant to adjournment of April 4th.,Presid- ent G.B.La:rrence presiding and the following other members of the Board being presenf:J.M.Blod&ett,F.O.ale,C.A.Rich and L.Vi11inger. The Minutes of the Previous Meetin7 were read and it was suggested thatin the record for warrant for salary of St.Supt.the months for which the same was allowed be inserted.I* was so ordered,and the Minutes were then approved. The follbwing Applications for Blit i di ng Permits were' read and „granted: E.F.Durston,Dwelling on Lots 12 & 13 of Block 12 Hutchins Add.; T.C.Hanil.on,Addition to Dwelling on Lot 7 Block 1. The Clair of Fuller-ireisner Lumi;er. Co.of 47.45 for lumber, having been approved by the St.Supt.was read and ordered paid. A communication unication from the American River Electric Company was read and filed. C.L.Van Buskirk wanted to know how he ?would proceed to get power for pumping Water at his residence. The matter was deferred to be taken up with the Engineer. I.R.DeVries on behalf of ?.:art Dorton stated that Mr. Dorton was willing to furnish his own pipe and pay all costs of connection if the City would permit him to connect to the main on Walnut Street and convey water to his property. There being no objection,the permistion was granted. The Clerk stated that Cluff & Son had requested him to ask if the Board would install transformers to furnish electric current for the operation of their rhotors in their printing establishment. The followir.g resolution was then read and introduced: RESOLUTION rH REAS.the City of Lodi din on the 4th.day of Hay 1908 vote bonds for the construction of a Sewer System•for the disposal of the sewage of said City,and, wHDRBAS,that certain piece of real property,being outside the limits of said city.ai:d situate in San Joaquin County,California, particularly described as follows,to-wit: "Beginning at the corner • 4F H ll common to Sedtions Ten (10 ),Eleven (11 ), = ourteen (14) and Fifteen (15) in Township Three. (3) North. targe Six (0) East of Mount Diablo said Base andMeridian; ane running thence along the South line Of Section Eleven (11) East 1839;; feet to the center Of an irrigation canal for the point of beginning of the tract of land hereby conveyed; thence Northerly along the center line of said canal 974 feet;thence East 317.8 feet to the Eest side of a twenty foot lane; thence Southerly along the Eest side of said lane 974 feet to the South line of said Section Eleven (11); then.e ?Test along said Section line 322 feet to the point of beginning,and containing 7.22 acres,r.:ore or Maas less° ,i s necessary I'or Municipal pur"poses,tO-twit: for the construct- ion and maintenance Of a Septic Tans: as a dart of said sewer system i in accordance With the plans accepted and approved by the Board 02' Trustees of said City,therefore, 3e It Resolved,that the said real property above described is necessary for the municipal purposes aforesaid,and G.E.Lawrence,the ?resident of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi,is hereby authorized to do and perform each and every act necessary for the purchase of said real property and 10 purchase and accept delivery of a deed for the same for and on behalf of said City, and on delivery of a good and sufficient deed for the said real property by H.H.Msxx Henderson,the owner t ereof, to draw a warrant in favor 0' said H.st.Ferderson for the surto£ 414O0.0O,which sum the Board of Trustees hereby finds to be a reasonable and just price for the sane. It was moved by Trustee Blodgett and seconded by Trustee Rich that the foregoing resolution be adopted as read,which ;notion was carried by the following vote: Ayes: J._i.31odget:,F.O.Hale,G.E.Lawrence,C.A.Rich and L.Vlllinger. _does: None. The Clerk was instructed to write tO the Central California Traction Company asking them to grade and sprinkle their traxin the city limits.
