Public Hall,Lodi,California.Mar.7,1910.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in
regular sesslon,President G.E.Lawrence presiding and the following
other members of the Board being present: J.M.3lodgett,F.O.Hale,
C.A.Rich and.L.V1Linger._
The Minutes of the Previous Meeting were read and approved.
The reports of the City Marshal and of the Poundmaster for
the month of February were read and approved.
The following applications for Building Permits were read
and granted:
J.L'.Crose.remodelit:g shoe shop on Block 23;
•.G.Hatton,Dweliing on lot 13 of Block 4,E.Lodl;
F.P.Roper,'xlood Shed on lot 17 of Block 1 ¶.Lodi.
The application of F.J.Lease for permission to erect an
addition to building at 18 N.Scheol Street was denied for the reason
that it is contrary to the policy of the 3oard to allow the construct-
ion of any; more frame buildings in Blocks 15 & 16,and being extra
hazardous in case of fire.
F.F.Irey made application for permission to store gasoline,
coal oil,disti llate and benzine in not to exceed carload lots on
Block A of Subdivision 72 Lodi Barnhart Tract. The permission was
on :notion granted.
The resignation of Harrison Brannack as poundmaster was
read and laid on the table until some one could be found to take the
job.
The following claims against the City were read,allowed

The claim of cary Bros.for supplies and labor was laid on the
table for further information regarding discounts.
• Surveyor J.A.Graham suggested that cement monuments should be
placed at the intersections of the centers of streets at least in
the old town-site.said monuments to be about 9" in diameter at.the
bottom and 4" in diameter at the top and 2i' long with a nail or
copper spike in the top. He said the monuments would cost about 41.00
each artc[ the setting of then would be about $4.00. He said their
should be at least 16 set now. The ratter was raven under advisement.
E.E.Deaver asked that the Alley running North from Daisy Ave.in
the Moran -Handel Tract and Daisy Ave.in said tract be opened to
traffic,as they were already dedicated to the public use and were
merely fenced up by J.G.Handel. The matter was referred to the
Street Committee and the Street Superintendent.
R.Squire called the attention of the Board to the approach to
the Hose -cart house. The natter was referred to the Street Committee
and Street Superintendent.
The natter building a cement sidewalk around the Library lot
was then discussed without definite action.
RESOLUTION.
The following Resolution was then.read and introduced:
BE IT.RESOLVED: that the President of the Board Of Trustees and the
City Clerk of the City Of Lodi be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to give notice according to lav of a General Municipal
Election to be held in and for said City on Mondsy,the eleventh day
of April,1910. The polling place shall be .the building known as the
City Hall on N.Sacramento Street between Locust Street and Lockeford
Street.
The officers of said election shall be as follows:
Inspectors: W.W.Henderson and B.F.Woodson.

Judges: C.A.3rigbt and J.J.Hubbard.
Clerks: T.G.viright and D.&.Bird.
Ballot Clarks: H.S.Clark Sr. and John Acer.
It was regularly moved and seconded that the foregoing
resolution be -adopted as read,which Motion was carried by the
following vote:
Ayes: J.M.31odgett,F:0'Hale,C.A.Rich and L.Vil'_finger.
Noes:None.
It was moved and seconded that this Board do nOW ad-
