The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in regular sesion,Fresident G.E.Lawrence presiding,and the following other .members of the Board being present: J.M.Blodgett,F.O.Hale, C.A.Rich and L.Viliinger. The Minutes of the Previous Meeting were read and approved. The Report of the City Marshal for the month of December was read and approved. A letter from Roadnaster W.H.Burgess in regard to the matter of trains violating the City Ordinances and in regard to gravel for Oak Street was read and filed. A co7Iunication fron H.T.?.fason reporting violations bf.the. Speed Ordinan^e- duri:z the past week was read and tiled to- be taken up as the next neetirg. Julius Bogdan was granted a permit to erect a tank house on Daisy Ave. The Japanese Association of L.A.W.snclosed a series of re- solutions to the Clerk. A petition for a street light at the corner of Pine Street and Cherokee Street was read and on motion the petition was granted. In regard to the application of C.D.and J.W.Russill for a Saloon License: The Report of the Corsnittee of the ;chole which had been read and laid on the table on Dec.20 was taken up and read. Edward Van Vranken Esq. and Hon.R.L.Beardslee on behalf of the Petitioneers asked t'nat the Application be laid on the table until some specified date. It Was roved,seeonded and carried by a unanimous vote that the Report of the Committee of the Whole be accepted as read. In regard to the old M.E.'arsonage obstructing the street, it appeared to be the opinion of the 3oard that the St.Supt.order the same removed.
