Municipal Buildsng,Lodi.California.Dec.22,1913.
In adjourned regular session of the Board of Trustees of
the City of Lodi,the following trustees being present: C.A.Black.J.M.
Blodgett,F.O.Hale,G.E.Lawrence and C.A.Rich. President Lawrence presiding.
The minutes of the meeting of Dec.15,1913.were read and
approved.
The application of W.A.Spooner for permission to erect a
garage on lets 1&2 block 38 was read and granted.
Rev.Hovis suggested that it might be well to have additio al
policemen to preserve order at the Christmas servicesin the park. He
was advised to confer with City Marshal Cloeran. Mr.Hovis then on
behalf cf the committee.thanked the Boad for =ts co-operation.
A communication from Henry R.Worthington was read and filed.
A notification from City Treasyrer Lorenz of the appointment
of Geo.w.Leoin as Deputy City Treasurer during his absence from the
city was read and filed.
A communication from the Fire Department.asking the city
to buy the old band stand was read and referred to Public Utilities
Committee.
A communication from J.M.Paul asking for a street light at
the corner of Lincoln and Daisy Avenue was read and referred to
Street . Committee.
. A letter from New Amsterdam Casualty Company was read and
filed.
A letter from Bowers Rubber works requesting the return
of the certified check which accompanied their bid for hose was read.
Chief Stark.who was present.stated that the hose was received and
counted by him. On motion of 31ack.sec nded by Hale.the Clerk was
directed to return the certified check to Bowers Rubber works.
The claim of J.M.McMahon of $33.25 for wages paid by him
was allowed and ordered paid.
The "Sign Committee" reported progress.
The Board adjourned.
