Yunicipal3uilding,Lodi,California.Dec.1,1913.
In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City
of Lodi,the f.liowing trustees being present: C.A.B1ack.J.M.Blodgett,
F.O.Hale,G.E.Lawrence and C.A.Rich. President Lawrence presiding.
The minutes of the meeting of of Nov.17,1913,were read and
approved.
Communications from A.Carlisle & 07i. and Dalton Adding
Machine Co.were read and filed.
A communication from the Secratery of Lodi Fire Department
enclosing specifications for a drying tower -was read and referred to
Public Utilities Committee.
A communication from F.A.Turr:er,General Foreman of PacTel.
& Te1.Co..in regard to the movi:-.g of poles from E.Pi::e SIrreet.was
read and referred to Supt.Eenning.
On motion of Black,seconded by Blodgett.City Treasurer
W.H.Lorenz was granted a leave of absence from the City of 60 days
from Dec.l5th...1913.
The reports of the City Marshal.City Engineer and City
Plumbing Inspector for the month of November were read and accepted.
The_ following applications for Building Permits were read
and granted:
J.C.Brier,garage.at 444 N.Church St.;
J.Carvalho.garage.on lot 12 block 8,E.Lodi;
Max Fo1endorf..dwelling.on lot 16 block 46;
E.E.leyer.buildirg on lot 10 block B Subd.72.Barnhart Tract;
P.Siebel.dwelling on block 11 Barnhart Tract;
C.J.Weber,garage.on lot 20 block 3.Larsons Pine St.Add.
The application of E.E.Meyer for a gasoline permit at 31
S.Sacramento Street was,on motion.denied.an:d a permit granted to same
party on lot 10 block B Subdivision 72 of Lodi Barnhart Tract.
G.W.LeMoin of the Board of Health stated that the Board
of Health was ready to go ahead with their regu=ations but.as Judge
Percival was sick.they had been unable to consult him. He was author—
ized to consult another attorney.
The Street Committee recommended that the crossings of
School Street with Oak and Elm Streets be graveled according to the
recommendations of Supt.Coleman. The recommendation of the Committee
was adopted.and the work authorized.on motion of Blodgett.seconded
by Black.
Various claims against the city amounting to ,2442.00.having
been approved by the Finance Coixnittee,were allowed and ordered paid.
I' was moved by Black that a committee consisting of the
President of the Board and two other trustees be appointed to inquire
into the matter of having several copies of the Annual Report printed
in pamphlet form. The motion was carried and the following committee
appointed: Lawrence,Black,Hale.
The Board adjourned.
