In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi.the following trustees being present: C.A.Black.J.M.Blodgett, F.C.Hale,G.E.Lawrenee and C.A.Rich. The minutes of the meeting of Sep.29,1913,were read and approved. The following applications fDr building permits were read and granted: Miss A.Brack.a garage on lot 6 block 11; G.W.Hill.store front on lot 11 block 15; Western States Gas & E1.Co.,store-roost on lot 14 block 48. Hon.A.E.Percival presented drafts of three proposed ordin- ances dealing with the following subjects: Minors visiting.saloons, Dancing,and Children under sixteen years of age being upon the streets or attending certain amusements during certain hours. The attorney in a learned and forceful manner explained the provisions and purposes of the various proposed ordinances,which were then referred to the Oomnittee of the Whole,tc be reported or. at next meeting. The reportWof the Marshal and of the Supt.of Plumbing were read and approved. Trustee Rich announced that Gilbeau asked $10.00 per month to Keep the old wagon for fire hose.and stated that the wagon might be kept on the City premises. Referred to P.U.Com. Supt.Henning suggested that porch lights could be used to light the long block on East Pine Street.but the suggestion was not accepted. Various claims against the cit' amounting to $3419.18, having been approved by the Finance Committee were allowed and ordered paid. The matter of rules for plumbers' licenses was taken up with the Board of Health. On motion,the Board adjourned until Oct.13,1913.at the usual hour and place. Attest: Actin; City Clerk.
