In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi,the-following trustees being present: C.A.Blac}:,J.M.Blorgett, F.C.Hale.G.F.Lawrence and C.A.Rich. President Lawrence presiding. The minutes of the .^_.eetin: of May 20,1913,were read and approved. The reports of the Larshal.t e ?oundmaster.and the City Engineer for the month of May.1913.^Jere read and approved. The fallowing ap licaticns for Building Permits vere read and granted: J.H.Rice.remodellir_g, dwelling at 407 7.Elm St.; Krumb & Meehl.tearing down bldg.on lot 5 bloc}: 13; F.E.Collins.garage on lot 5 Klock 4. D.F.Owens.fruit shed on lots 1,2&3 block 8 Loran—Handel Tract. The opinion of Judge Jones on the power of the Board to restrict the construction of certain buildings in any district was read. A petition for a street light at the corner of Hutchins and Lockeford Streets was read and referred to Public Utilities Com. Claims aga'.znst the City aggregating the sum of $5231.17',, having been appr:ved by the Finance Conmittee.were allowed and ordered Paid. An invitation from Merchants' Association t.: attend an address by John P.Irish on June 10th.was read and accepted. Public Uti1itier= Committee reported that on ac •oust of delay in getting the abstract the wor}: was nct proceeding. That Supt. Henning recommended the purchase of a new 35 H.P.notor. That the cost according to the recor.,mendations of Supt.:ienrirg would be aper.xln— ately as follows: 35 H.P.Motor. $467.;;0 4" 2 stage Pump. 340.00 Pit. 125.C2, Well. 203.00 Land. 163.00 Ele^tric Line. 225.00 Total, 21517.00 Cn motion of Rich.it was ordered that the sum of e500J.00 be apportioned from Water Fund to General Fund and the sum of 4500C.00 be apportioned from Light Fund to General Fund.
