In adjourned regulars session of the Board of Trustees of the C1ty:of.Lodi.the following trustees being present: C.A.Black, J.M.Blodgett-,F.O.Ha1e,G.L.Lawrence and C.A.Rich. President Lawrence -- presiding. . The minutes of the meeting of May 5.1913,were read and amended by adding,to the paragraph regarding the permission granted the Fame and School Association of Salem School to use the City Hall, the words "provided no admission fee is charged". As amended.the mnutes were approved. The following. applications for Building Permits were read and granted:. Sam Mor:-ow,dwelling or. lot 3 block 5 Barnhart Tract; Wright &.Van.Buskirk,roof of -iron over alley way back;of 8 & 10 N.School.Street; Fred Langhorst,garage o:: lot 8 b1ook 5. xThe application of Marshal H.B.Coleman fora week's leave.: of absence beginning May 18 was read and granted. •A communication fron Lodi Fire Department.stating that the alarm equipment was not in good working order.was read and. referred to Superintendent Henning with instructions to put and keep the equip- ment in good working order. . . - w:iA communication from Lodi Fire Department,complaining„that. people used the water for irrigating during times of fire,was read and referred to the Marshal. . A communication from Fire Departiser.t,reporting two hydrants as not in working order.was read,and Trustee Rich stated that the, to repair the same was, on the way. Referred to Supt.of Water. An invitation from M.0.Holt,Pres.of Merchants' Association. to attend the lecture on May 16th..by W.H.Miller of Spokane.on Community Development.was read and accepted with thanks. J.C.Guggolz.B'.J.Robinson,H.Perrin,and others advocated the paving of the intersections of East Pine Street by the City.katter was referred to;Committee of the.,Whole. S.W.McCleary stated that on Hutchins Street some of the manholes were not on grade. On motion of Rich.the matter was referred tc Supt.Henning to remedy at once. . REPORTS OF CCMMITTEZS. Committee on purchase -of poles from W.S.G.E.,no report. Ccm.1ttee of the Whole on New Weli.no report. Building Committee reported that the building was cleaned out. dirt had been placed on the floor.and measurements taken for doers.&c. The matter of moving a pole it the alley between the First National Bank and Bank of Lodi was referred to Supt.Hen ning. The Board adjourned. Attest.
