In adjourned regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi,the following trustees being present: C.A.31ack.J.M. Blodgett,F.0.Eale,G.E.Lawrence and C.A.Rich. President Lawrence pre- siding. The minutes of the meeting of April 21,1913,were read and approved. The following applications for building permits were read and granted: A.M.Tower,dwelling or. lot 5 block 11,Barnhart Tract; A.H.Bull,dweling on lot 7 block 2,3arnhart Tract; Mary L.Anderscn,moving chicken *souse on block 38; W.J.Marchand,bake-oven on lot 3 block 20. The applications of Percy Pearson and Will S.Floyd fcr per- mission to operate motor vehicles on the streets of the City of Lodi, were read and granted. The application$ of Elloit E.Meyers for a permit to store 5C gallons of gasoline at 9 :7.Elm St..having been; referred to a com- mittee consisting of Rich.Black and Hale,was reported back from said committee with the recommendation that it be granted with the proviso that the tank be buried. On motion.the report of the committee was accepted. A cpmmunication from John Bauer,Direetor of the Lodi Band, asking an appropriation of e20.00 per week fcr ten weeks for the band concerts,was read and referred to the Finance Committee. The Public utilities Committee reported that they had decided to place the insurance of the city with New Amsterdam Casualty Co., wh: had issued a. renewal policy. On motion,the report of the Committee was ac^epted. It was moved by Black,seconded by Hale,that we have a 12" well sunk near Salem School to such a depth as will supply 1000 gals. of water per minute,said well to be sunk at such a point as may be determined by the Committee of the Whole. The motion was carried by the affirmative votes of Trustees Black.Hale and Lawrence; Trustees Blodgett and Rich voting no. The claim of Gamewell Fire -alarm Telegraph .Company of $1131.00 was allowed for 81074.45,being a discount for cash ir, full of 510,in accordance with the letter of Coffee. On motion of Rich.seconded by Black,the Superintendent of Sewer and Water fires authorized to extend the sewer and water out the third al_e_, in the Barnhart Tract to Garfield Street and out the fourth alley to Cherokee Lane.
