In adjourned regualr session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi,the following trustees being present: C.A.Black, J.M.Blodgett,F.O.Hale.G.E.Lawrence and C.A.Rich. The minutes of the meeting of Feb.3,1913.were read and approved. The following applications fcr building permits were read and granted: Vocrheis & Son.3rick bld .on lot 3 block 20 for B.Rinfret; L'.F.Van sTlear remodeling fornt at cor.Sac.& Elm Sts. for ^&K; H.E.Frost.dwg.on lots 1&2 block 40; W.P.Lancaster.rerodeling dwg.on First St.; Ed.Spiekerman.store-room on lots 1&2 Larsons Add. This appiieat- io_n was granted with Trustee Rich voting no,as the building was already constructed. A statement from the followinn- property owners of the Barnhart Tract offering to give certain easements or alley -ways for wa-.er and sewer and pole lines was read and referred to Public Utilities Committee: W.G.Corbin,E.t'oon.G.F'layman,W.J.Barnes and G.W.Sargent. A report from Lodi Volunteer Fire Department stating that they had accepted the fire bell now on the tower was read and filed. and.on motion.the President of the Board of Trustees was authorized to sign,cn behalf of the City.an acceptance of the fire -alarm system as installed. The application of James Marlow for a permit and license to sell liquor at retail was read.and,on motion,referred to the Marshal and President of the Board of Trustees for investigation, by the affirmative votes of Trustees Black.Biod ett,Hale and Rich. ORDINANCE N0.70. Crdinance No.70,entitled."Ar. Ordinance Amending Subdivision Number Twenty-nine of Section Number Fourteen of Ordinance Number Sixty-five" was read.a.d.having been introduced on Feb.3.1913.placed or passage. It was moved by 3lodgett,seconded by Rich.that Ordinance No.V6 be adopted as read.which motion was carried and the ordinance adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Blodgett.Hale.Lawrence and Ricin. Noes: Trustee Black. Absent:None. Public Utilities Committee reported the following estimates on extensions of the water and sewer systems: Northern part of City: Sewer 81150.00; water lines 8960.00. Barnhart Tract: Sewer 83500.00; Water lines $1180.00. 8 Hydrants for both places $350.00. Matter was referred back to same committee for action. An invitation from Lodi Merchants' Association to attend their meeting on Feb.lith. was accepted with xMa thanks. The Clerk was instructed to communicate with Sec.of State 3card of Health for information regarding Boards of Health and Health Officers Cn motion,the President of the Board was authorized to enter into a contract with Ed.Spiekeraan fcr rent of north 901of City lot at cor.Sacramento and Lodi. On suggestion ofale,the Marshal was instructed to get six new waste cans for the streets and have the tops of the old cans repaired. The 3oard adjourned. Attest: City Clerk.
