In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi,the following trustees being present: C.A.Black,J.M.Blodgett, .0.Hale,G.E.Lawrence and C.A.Rich. President Lawrence presiding. The minutes of the meeting of Nov.11,1912,were read and approved. The following applications for building permits were read and granted: F.E.Moyer,garage or. lot 2 block 5 E.Lodi; F.L.Cornwall.removal of bldg.from loi 5 block 10 to lct 4 blk 4; The following applications for building permits were granted with the proviso that the flues be constructed to comply with the provisions of the ordinance: F.H.Graham.G.B.Morrison and S.McGothern.al on block 14 of Lodi Barnhart Tract. T.C.Hawley on behalf of Lodi Local of Socialists asked if they night have the use of the city hall for meeting purposes. He was informed by the President that the Board had already gone on re- cord as being against the use of such building for political meetings, having refused another party such use. The matter of furnishing water to F.Wertland was left in the hands of Public Utilities Committee. The resolution as appears in full on page 298,appropriating sena money for advertising,was read.and,cn motion.adopted by unanimous vote. ORLINANCE. Ordinance No.64.entitled."An Ordinance Regulating Moving Travel and Traffic upon the Streets and Other Public Places of the City of Lodi and Providing a Punishment for any Violation Thereof",having been introduced on Nov.4,1912.was read and placed on passage. It was moved by Blodgett,seconded by Black.that the ordin- ance be adopted as read,which motion was carried and the prdihanee. adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees C.A.Black,J.M.Blodgett, F.C.Hale and G.E.Lawrence. Noes: Trustee C.A.Rich. Absent: None. G.W.LeMoin of the Library Board stated that the sidewalk in front of the Library was low.and asked permission to have a new walk laid. Estimated the cost @ 887.00. On motion of Rich.seconded by Black.the Library Board was authorized to have the improvement made. Engineer McAfee stated that he had completed the work of establishing city grades.and that the notes and profiles were ready for adoption. The City Clerk and Superintendent of Water and Lights were instructed to write Western States Gas & Electric Company regarding the high tension lines in the City. ORLINANCE. Ordinance No,65,ertitled." An Ordinance Licensing for the Purpose of Revenue and Regulation Every Kind of Lawful Business Herein Specified,Transacted or Carried On within the Corporate Limits of the City of Lodi,State of California,Fixing the Rate of License Tax upon the Same,?roviding for the Collection of Said License Tax and Punishment for the Carrying On of such Business without a License, and Repealing Certain Ordinances", was read and introduced,and.on motion of Rich,seconded by Blodgett,laid on the table for not less than five days. On motion.the Board adjourned until Nov.25.1912.at the usual hour and place. Attest: City Clerk.
