In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi,the following trustees being present: C.A.Blaek.J.M.Blodgett. F.O.Hale,G.E.Lawrence and C.A.Rich. President Lawrence presiding. The minutes of the meeting :f Oct.28,1912,were'read and approved. The reports of the Marshal,the Poundmaster,Plumbing Ins., and Engineer for the month of October,1912.were read and approved. The Presidne tof the Board was authorized to sign a contr- act with Oamewell Fire -Alarm Telegraph Company for $1131.00 for alarm system. ORDINANCE NO.64. Ordinance No.64.entitied," An Ordinance Regulating Moving Travel and Traffic upon the Streets and Other Public Places of the City of Lodi and Providing a Punishment for any Violation 'Thereof",was read and introduced,and.on motion of Rich.seaonded by Blodgett,laid on the table for not less than five days exclusive of the day of intro- duction. The matter of house numbering was taken up and the Clerk instructed to engage C.H.Suess to correct the numbering and compel the numbering of un -numbered houses throughout the City,except as follows: On Main Street,Sacramento St.,and School St. from Lockeford St. to Lodi Ave.; On Pine and Elm Streets from -School St. to Stockton St.; Locust,Oak and Walnut Streets from Main St. to School St.; the figures for changed numbers to be furnished by the City. The Finance Committee recommended that the books of the City be experted from the date .:f incorporation to the prase begin- ning of the present -fiscal yaer,which recommendation was adopted, on motion of Hale,seccnded by Black,and the Finance Committee author- ized to employ an accountant to do the work. The report of the Clerk for the fiscal year ending June 30,1912,and of the Clerk and Treasurer for the Quarbr ending Sep.30, 1912,were accepted and filed. The matter of the high tension cutout at the transformer house was taken up.and Supt.Henning authorized to have the trans- formers moved to the new house near Cherokee Lane. The matter of cementing the walls of the new building was referred to the Building Committee,with instructions to receive bids for doing the work. The claim of Byron Jackson Iron Works for $236.85 was ordered paid and the amount ordered charged to the account of H.H. Henderson. The claim of Holt Manufacturing Company was referred to the Clerk to be taken up with Holt. Various other claims against the City.having been approved by the Finance Committee.were allowed and ordered laid in the sum of $3867.06. On motion.the Board ad`ourned until Nov.11,1912,at the usual hour and ;lace. Attest: City Clerk.
