In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi,the following trustees being present: C.A.B1ack,J.L.Blodgett, F.O.Hale,G.E.Lawrence and C.A.Rich. The minutesof the meeting of Sep.10,i912,::•ere read and approved. The application of Geo.E.Henton for permission to con— struct a frame addition to building at 9 E.Eln Street was read,and refused for the reasons that said proposed structure would increase the fire hazard in such locality.and fcr the further reason that this Board will grant no rnore permits for frame buildings near the business section. An invitation from t::e Cit- of Ser::e1 ey,in-: sting the heads of all departments to attend the 15th.annual convention of the League of California Municipalities Sep.23-28,was read and filed. A comm' nieation from Western States Gas & Electric Company in regard to poles on N.Sacranento Street,was read a d the Clerk instructed to reply.asking them to have their attorney prepare such resolutions as they desired to have passed,and submit them for the consideration of the Board. The matter of numbering houses was discussed and Trustee Rich suggested that the ordinance be remodeled. Chairman Hale of Street Committee reported that lights were wanted in the alleys back of the Oriental Row. Referred to Public Utilities Committee. ORDINANCE NC.63. . . Ordinance No.63.entitled,"Ar. Ordinance of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi Regulating the Making of Excavations in Public Streets.Roads.Alleys.and Places in said City of Lodi.and Repealing. All Ordinances in Conflict Therewith",having been read and introduced on Sep.10,1912,was read and placed or. passage. It was moved by Rich.seconded by Black,that Ordinance No. 63 be adopted as read,which motion was carried and the ordinance adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees 31ack.Blodgett,Hale,Lawrence and Rich. Noes: None. Absent: None. Bids for the furnishing of concrete posts were received from Frederickson Bros..F.J.Beaty and Perrin Bros. On motion of Hale,seconded by Blodgett,it was ordered that the bid of Perrin Bros.being to lowest bid be accepted. The following claims against t:e City,having been approved by the Finance Conmittee,were allowed and ordered paid: F.J.Bownan,Sad & Gravel, $15.30 J.M.McMaon.Typewriter, 107.50 Western States Gas & E1.Co..ba11450.00 A .zg.Pcw. .--812.50 Total. $2385.30 The Clerk's report for the year ending June 30,1912,was read a::d referred to Finance Com;:,ittee. On motion of Rich.it was ordered that $3000.00 be transfer— red fro Water Fund to General Furd,an n 83000.00 from Light Fund to General Fund.
