In adjourned regelar session cf t -e Board cf Trustees of
the City of Lodi,t_^.e following trustees being present: C.A.3lack,
J.Ie.Biodeett,F.C.Ha1e,G._.Laweence and C.A.Rich•. President Lawrence
presiding.
The minutes of the meeting of Sep.4,1912.were read and
approved.
Ge E. entcn was granted a permit to erect a dwelling i..
Barnhart Tract.
F.J.3aety,of the fast Side Impr_ve:ne::t Club,co.-plained that
in some places the trees were not trimmed as required by the ordinance.
C.H.Suess c_rr.plained that in some parts of the City houses
were not numbered as required by the crdinance,and cited :i.r.Beaty
as having the wrong nur_er on his house.
The above Natters were referred to the Marshal with: instruct-
ions to enforce the ordieances in these particulars.
Supt...enni ng asked t= be all:wed. to have some one else in-.
spect the plumbing in the Cary Bending. Authorized to get sone one.
Clerk instructed to take up the -:atter of moving poles with
Ar.=utler.
On motion of Biaek.secended by Rich, '=e City Engineer was
instructed to survey and mark. the City limits,after gettia g erices .
on monuments and reportine to Fieance Committee.
On *actio:. of Rich.secc:.ded by Beedeett,the Superintendent
of Water and Lights was instructed to have the broken pane of glass
in the transformer house replaced with a new one.

Ordinance No.G!,e: titled,"Ani Ordinance Requiring Theaters,
Dpera Hoeses.School Houses,Public ::a1ls,and Certain Other Buildings
Tc Be Provided with Dxits.Fire Escapes and Standpipes: Prohibiting*
the Fastening of Doors and Exits.ar.d the Obstructing of Aisles and
Passage -ways during Public Gatherings",having been read and introduced
on September 4th..was read and played on passage.
It was moved by Richi,seconded by 31ack,that Ordinance No.
61 be adopted as read,t°rhich motion was carried and the ordinance
adopted by the following; vote:
Ayes:Trustees B1ack,Blodgett,Hale,La:srence and Rich.
Noes:None. Absent: None.

Grrf:atce No.32,entitled,"An Ordinance Levyine Taxes xes i::
the Year 1912 in Provision of Revenue for the __seal Year Beginning
July 1.1913",having been read and introduced on September 4th..was
read and placed cr, passage.
It was moved by Blcdgett.secor:ded by Hale,that Ordinance
No.62 be adopted as read,which motion was carted and the ordinance
adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees B1aci:.3lodgett,Hale,La.4rrence a.^ Rich.
Noes: None. Absent:- None.
ORDINANCE NO. E3.
Ordinance N^O.C3.entitled,"An Ordinance of the Board cf
Tr:.stees of the City of Lodi Regulating the Makine of Excavations in
Public Streets,Roads.Al.eys.and Places in said City of Lcdi,and
Repealing All Crdinances in Conflict therewith",was read.and,on motion
of Hale.seconded by 3lodgett,Crdinance No.G3 was introduced and laid
on the table fen not less than five days exelesive of the day of intro-
duction.
The claim of XI J.:7.McAfee of B15.CC on account of salary,
having been approved by the Finance _:T:eit? ee.was allowed and ordered
paid.

the salary of Eneinneer McAfee be increased: e10. GC,beginning September
lst.,l912.
