J.....31odgett...C. a1e.G.E.Lawrence and C.A.Rich, President Laurence presiding. approved. Theminutes of the meeting of Aug.2G.1912.were read and It was moved by 31odgett,seconded by Hale.that the natter of the application of Cit: Street I;lproveme::t Co. for a permit to improve W.Pine St. be taken from the table for consideration.which notion was carried. The Application cf City Street I:nprcvema:.t Company fcr a permit to improve W.Eine Street from Hutchins Street to Church St was read. Attorney E.E.3reitenbucher.o_: behalf cf Atty.A.L.ievinsky, representing property owners or. W.Pine.read a petition.askirg that the permit be not granted.and made a forcefull argument against the grafting of the permit. A.V.Friedberger,Alida J.',Thyers and Wri.Mitchell also opposed the granting of the permit. A.l%.Tower favored the improvement. The notion of Hale.seconded by 31ack.that the permit be zranted was put to a vote. The motion was carried and the permit granted by the following vote: Ayes: C.A.31act:,J.M.31od7ett,G.E.La::Trence._ .O.Haie and C.A.Rich. :Moes: None. President. 'a';-rer^e-stated. that City Street Improvement Company wcutd all :V frc erty owners,who were unable to meet the expperse.one year w1'bo,.zt interest and four additional years at 7 per annuum.a list of such owners being furnished for filing. It was moved by 3iack.sec nded by Hale.that.in order to save the shade trees.the roadway cf W.Pine Street from the West line of Church Street to the East line of Hutchins Street be reduced from 5C feat in width to 50 feet in width.and the sidewal: spaces thereon be 15 feet in widtb.wbic^ notion was carried and it:was sc ordered. It was :roved by _i odgett.seccnded by B1aoi:.Haie and Rich that a vote of tkanks be extended to Mrs.Lawrence for t: -e cushions for the trustees chairs.which :notion was unanimously adopted.
