Public Hall,Lodi,Califor::la.May 13,1912.
In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City
o, Lodi,the.following trustees being present: C.A.B1ack,J.M.B1o'igett,
F.O.Hale,and C.A.Rich. Absent:Trustee a.E.Lawrence.
F:O.Hale was chosen President Pro Tem.
The minutes of the meeting of May 6,1912,were read and
approved.
iessrs.Lancaster and Newfield of the I.O.C.F. were before
the Board in reference to the sidewalk in front of the I.C.C.F.
Bldg. Matter referred to Street Committee.
On motion of Trustee Black.seconded by Trustee Blodgett,
it was ordered that any person desiring to alter or repair side-
walks be required to get a permit from the Board of Trustees.
On motion of Trustee Rich,J.M.Patterson was granted per-
mission to place 4 hitching .osts in front of his property or.
S.Sacramento Street,occupied by Newfield & Son.
:.E.}Velch of the Fourth of July Committee stated that the
committee wished the co-operation of the Board in the matter of
controlling concessions.
. The following applications for building permits were
granted:
Mason. Bros.,second story on fruit shed on block 22;
T.Tatsukawa.rooming houde on lot 4 bloc}: 28;
Seth Sovereign,imp.to dwelling on lot 10 block 2 Barnhart Tract.
. public Utility Committee reported favoring laying sewer
on First Street,renuiring 500' of 6" pipe;20-6x4-Y's;10 sax cement;
1 oad each of rock and sand. Committee giver further tine.
Marshal Coleman reported a pipe trench remaining open on
Washington Ave.
Street Committee reported employing•F.J.Bcwm an and J.H.
Bowling to do the street sprinkling @ 83.75 per day each.
Public Utilities Com.reported against the proposition of
free street lights.
Clerk instructed to request Central California Traction
Co. to place a warning bell at Lodi Ave and Sacramento Sts.
Clerk instructed to get copies of ordinances regulating
laying of gas mains.etc.
Matter of rates for water fcr sprinkling streets.etc.
referred to P.U.Com.
The Board adourned.
