In adjourned regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi,the following trustees being present: J.M.Blodgett, F.O.Hale,G.E.Lawrence,C.A.Rich and L.Villinger. President Lawrence presiding. approved. The minutes of the meeting of ;:ar.18,1912,were read and The following applications for building permits were read 245 and granted: N.O.Miselymoving bldg.froi cor.Lodi and Grand to Barnhart Tr.; Lodi Mill & Mfg.CO..addition to mill on block 23. E.F.Nickel,W.J.I':archand and L. -.Jensen were each granted a permit to place one hitching post.and Lodi ''ardware Co. to place two hitching posts. On notion.the President of the Board of Trustees was authorized to enter into the contract as read with Gamewel Fire Alarm Telegraph Co. E.E.Deaver stated that his company desired to .now what disposition had been made of the Natter of liability insurance. F.e was informed that the Natter would be held in abeyance pending the result of the test suit which was now before the courts. In the *utter of laying water pipe in the Barnhart Tract, the committee reported that many of the alleys were not opened and that it would not be feasible to go place the pipes in the streets. The natter of furnishing water outside of the city was discussed. Messrs. Schroeder.Stannard and Pratt contendirg that they should be furnished water,Stannard and Pratt expressing a willingness to be annexed to the city but Schroeder violently opposing any an- nexation neasure.
