In re_ular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi,the following trustees being present: J.M.Blodgett,F.O.Hale, G.E.Lawrence,C.A.Rich and L.Villinger. President Lawrence presiding. The minutes of the meeting approved. of Feb.14,1912.were read and The following applications for building permits were read and granted: H.F.Ellis,enlargement to garage on lot 2 block 21; W.P.Lancaster,dwelling at cor.First and Pleasant.; W.D.Voorhies & Son,dwelling on lots 1&2 block 7. The following clai-:s a-ainst the City,having been approved by the Auditting Comrittee,were allowed and ordered paid: Ed:Hoover,Labor. $6.00 P.Durand.Labor. 5.00 F.Shealor,Labor, 30.00 Total, $41.00 On motion,the Clerk was instructed to order 2-7#5 Larkins shut4off nozzles,- one 1*" ,and one 1+1'. Mr.D.W.Bird,on behalf of the Civic League,addreesed the Board in opposition to the granting of any more restaurant liquor licenses. bn motion,of Trustee Blodgett,seconded by Trustee Rich, the President of the Board was authorized to enter into a contact, for the construction of a municipal bAlding,with C.I.Rice. Supt.Henning was authorized to purchase cement for the foundation of the new building where he could get it the cheapest. On motion,the Board decbided to construct the new building front of red brick. On motion,the clerk was instructed to purchase a vault door from Waltz Safe & Lock Co. It was moved by Trustee Rich that a committee be appointed to inquire into the feasibility of establishing a municipal gas plant. The :notion was carried unaninously.and the President appointed the entire membership of the Board a committee of the whole on gas. On motion,the Board adjourned until reb.26,1912,at the u u ual hour and place. Attest: 235
