Pursuant to call of the President the Board of Trustees o; the
City of Lodi convened in special session_ at 7:Q0 o'clock p.m. There
were present Trustees Hale, Black, Keeney and Polendorf. Trustee Deaver
absent..
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.
The president of the Board stated the meeting had been called
for the purpose of considering matters pertaining to the well bored for
the City by I. B. Fughes.
Trustee Keeney moved, seconded by Trustee PQlendorf, that the
President of the Board be authorized to enter into an agreement with
I. B. Hughes whereby the well bored by said Hughes on the City lot be
accepted as it stands; and that said I. B. Hughes and the.City of Lodi
each be released, one to the other, from all liability and claims what-
soever arising from the boring of said well. The above motion was ad-
opted by affirmative votes of all members present.
Relative to the boring of an additional well the following
resolution was introduced:
RESOLVED, That the City proceed to sink another well, within
75 feet of the City Hall, not to exceed 200 feet in depth, the cost
not to exceed *1.00 per foot for the first 100 feet, nor ;2.00 per foot
for each foot thereafter; and that I. B. Hughes be employed to do the
word; that the President of the Board of Trustees, on behalf of the
City of Lodi, be, and he is, hereby authorized and directed to enter
into a contract with said I. B. Hughes for boring such well.
Trustee Polendorf moved, seconded by Trustee Keeney, the ad-
option of the above resolution as read, which motion was carried by
the affirmative votes of all members present.
