Pursuant to adjournment of November 5th the Board of Trustees
of the City of Lodi convened at 8:00 p.m. There were present Trustees Hale,
Black, Keeney and rolendorf.
Minutes of the meeting of November 5th were approved as read.
In response to call for bids of October 22d, 1917, for furnish—
ing pipe and labor for constructing storm sewers in North School Street
the following proposals were received:
H.C.Muddox Company, S.G.V. pipe and fittings, 1st quality ------ 3513.00

(Less 3* for cash in 30 days).
H.C.3uddo:c Company, all labor necessary for laying pipe
advertised for 446.00
Any additional pipe to be laid, providing not over 12 inches in
diameter 20 cents per foot.
Gladdir.g, McBean & Co., S.G.V.pipe and fittings, 1st quality --- 517.00
(Less 3;4 for cash in 30 days.)
California Pottery Company, S.G.V.pipe and fittlrgs,lst quality— 515.00
W.E.Graham & Company, cement pipe laid 513.30
Ed Spiekerma_n, cement pipe laid 461.70
The matter of awarding a contract under the proposals received
was deferred one week.
Peter Berg applied for permission to build a church on lots
l and 2, block 7, Lodi Barnhart Tract. As a protest had been filed by
property owners in that district application on the application was de—
ferred one week.

George Mettler was granted permission to construct a build—
for a private garage on lot 1, block 5, East Lodi Addition.
G. L. Meissner was granted permission to remodel the front
and .mort the exterior of his residence at 421 West Pine Street.
On account of a report that the government will not permit
the use of freight cars for transportation_ of street paving materials
the matter of paving North School Street was upon motion laid over
until the next regular meeting.
The Board adjourned.
