HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - May 28, 1917484 ::unicipal iidin ,Lodi,Cal. ,1_ay 28,191 7. ?arsuant to adjournment of May 21st the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened at 8:c p.m., there being present Trustees :ale, Black, Keeney, Deaver and Izolerdorf. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as cor- rected. _:.:.Sievers presented a petition signed by ..,;.Gilbeau and rine other property owners requesting the City to proceed to pave the alley running east anis hest thru block 1'+, from Sacramento street to School street. Trustee Deaver moved, seconded by Trustee =oiendorf, that it is the sense of this Board that the request of petitio'ers be granted and that the City Attorey and City Engineer be hereby directed to pre- pare thie ._ece33ary resolutions, ordinaces, plans and specifications, for the improvement Of the alley running east and west between School street and Sacramento street, in block 14, according to the official map of the City of Lodi. The motion was unanimously carried. 7. J. Beaty reported that the alley running thru b1oc3 15 in the Barnhart Tract is partially obstructed by buildings and a city list pole and requestethe Board to have the obstructions removed. The matter was referred to the Street Superintendent. Trustee Black moved, Seconded by 7rustee'_eeney, that a spec- ial corx:ittee be appointed by the President of the Board to select a suitable site for an additional well for the city water system and report bac:,: to the Board, winch motion was adopted. Trustee Black moved, seconded by Trustee 7ee+ey, that the pay of all day laborers employed by the City be increased 2V, per day, to tate effect Jure 1, 1917; ani that all drivers wian teams employed by the City be paid 4'T.50 per day beginning May 15, 1917. The motion was carried unanimously. j. Trustee Keeney moved, seconded by Trustee Black, that action be deferred regarding pay of salaried employees of the City with the understanding that whatever action is taken shah be effective June 1, 1917. The motion was carried unanimously. labor claims amounting to 340.23 were allowed and ordered paid. the Board adjourned. blast; City Cleric.
