The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in regular ses-
sion at 4:00 p.m., there beine, present Trustees Hale, Black, Keeney,
Deaver ana role ndorf .
:,'ir_utes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Building permits were granted as follows:
n.J.Rob_nson Co., feed mill on lots 7 and 8, block 25, City of
Lodi.
C. S. Randolph, dwelling lot 4, block 2, utchins Addition.
:lary A. Larson, to remodel store at 24 North Lai: Street.
Adolph Dauer, to remove dwelling from lot 5, block. 9, City of Lodi,
to lots 10 and 11, block 6, Hutchins Oak Street Addition.
Reports of ti':e City ::arshal, City Plumbing ming Inspector and City
Poundmaster for the month of April were read and ordered filen
-...Blodgett, W. A.Spooner and J.C.Bewley, a committee from the
Lodi - :3ines3 ;,:en's Association, presented a draft of a proposed ordin-
ance :treating a City Planning Commission and requested the Board to enact
the sane into law. The proposed ordinance. :as referred to the City Attor-
ney.
i•i'. C..L.Pike of the Lodi Canning Company requested the Board to
extend the water mains to `;ive water service and fire protection to the

on :okay street. The matter was referred to a committee of the
whole.

George W. Le::oin of the Board of Heald: reported that in the death
of Dr. r .'4.Co1azi:: there was created a vacancy or. the Board, and su Bested

Fopkir.s had been selected as executive officer of the Board and recommended
::is :,cint4lent as City Health Officer.
Upon notion cf Trustee Keeney, seconded by Trustee Leaver, Dr.S.1;.
Hopkins was a1 T:oi -ted permanent : ealth Officer.
Health Cf (icer Hopkins reported that the health oft:e City is good,
there being no cases of contagious diseases ir. the City, at present, and
asked for a leave o: absence, for ore week, which upon notion was wanted.
.Trustee, _olendorf moved, seconded by Trustee Deaver, that the City
employ the Tokay Band to ive a series of two concerts a ?month for three
nor --s, at 00 per concert. The motion was unanimously carried.
Bills amounting to ;..47C6.7;."; were allowed and ordered paid, Trustee
