HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - February 19, 1917476 Municipal Bullding,Lodi, Cal. ,Feb. /q,1917. The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in regu- lar session at 8:00 p.'r. There were present Trustees Hale, Black, Keeney, Deaver and Folendorf. _ Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Building and removal permits were granted as follows: Adolph C. Kolb, dwelling Lot 10, Block 3, A.& P. Addition. C.L.Bueil, private garage 217 East Oak Street. Angelo Tancreto, dwelling lot 10, block 1, Barnhart ',Tact. A.G.Thozpson, dwelling lot 5, block 2, Cordier Tract. Zacker Bros. ,iron building lot 1, block 14,City of Lodi. G.W.Brower, for Yrs. Marken, to move dwelling to the east 60 feet of lot 2, block 14, from cor Locust and School Sts., also to build addition_ to same. The application of Lodi Junk Company for permit to place a corrugated iron roof on building at 17 west Oak street, was laid on the table for two weeks. J. J. eTilliams applied for employment as driver of a street sprinkling wagon. The report of City 71umbing Inspector Herring for the month of January was read and ordered filed. The Lodi Business Per's Association invited the Board mem- bers to be present at a general meeting to be held in Davies Hall, at 5:00 o'clock p.m. February 20th. _ Resolutions adopted by the Congregational Church, Christian Church, First Methodist Church and Ministerial Union of North San Joaquin County petitioning the Board to close the Municipal Baths on Sundays during the hours of morning and evening worship were pre- se'_?ted. After full discussion Trustee Keeney moved, seconded by Trus- tee Black, that the Clerk be irstructed to reply to the effect that definite arrangements had already been made as to hours of keeping the baths open; that the Board is not at this time assure& that a :majority of the people of Lodi desire the baths to be closed during such hours and that the Board stands ready at all times to. abide by the will of the majority. Upon roll call the motion carried by the following vote: Ayes -Trustees Keeney, Black,Folendorf,Deaver and Hale. days -None. Upon motion Manager Of the Municipal Baths J.C.Ferguuson was authorized to purchase aiditioral suits for the baths as he deemed necessary and also to procure a suitable cash register. Upon motion Trustee Black was delegated to purchase sani- tary drinking fountains for the park and baths. Superintendent Henning was authorized to purchase for use at the baths a Pumping outfit to consist of a centrifugal pump (4 -in.) direct corrected to a suitable motor for operating the same. 3111s amounting to '257.55 were allowed and ordered paid.
