Municipal Building,
Lodi, Cal., December 4, 1916.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in regu-
lar Session at 5:00 p. y. Triers were -present Trustees Black, Keeney,
Folendorf and Deaver.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Building permits were granted as follows:
Au;ust H. Boase, poultry house at 514 East Pine street.
D. Beronio, private stable at 330 Daisy Avenue. •
George F. ?luff, to remove building from lot 3, block uBu,
to lot 7, block uAu, Ayers ! Pitchers Addition and to rebuild the
same.
The report of City Marshal Coleman for the month of November
was read and ordered filed.
The appointment and bond of Deputy Marshal E. S. Stark was
presented. The appointment was ordered filed and the bond returned to
Agent E. U. Keeney for correction.
John F. Stein and W.. P.. Lancaster appeared before the Board
asking that the City give financial support to the proposition of lo-
cating the Odd Fellows Orphans Home at Lodi. Trustee Keeney moved,
seconded by Trustee Deaver, that the City help to finance the proposi-
tion in a sum of not less than $300. The motion carried unanimously.
• 0. W. Kinney applied for a license to conduct a card room at
39 North Sacramento street, which was granted.
A communication was received from Sherman Warren regarding
an accident which happened in laying a pipe line on North Church Street,
which•comrunication was read and ordered filed.
Clyde A. Wylie applied for the position of custodian of the
swimming baths which application was accompanied by several letters of
endorsement. The application was ordered filed.
Trustee Keeney moved, seconded by Trustee Folendorf, that a
wage of 42..50 per day be allowed to the men laying pipe from the San-
guinretti wall to the swimming tank. The motion carried.unanimously.
Trustee Keeney moved, seconded by Trustee Folendorf, that
the ditching machine of Downer & Son be employed to complete as match
as possible of the ditch for the pipe line to the swimming tank. The
motion carried.
Miscellaneous claims against the City amounting to 4;4087••35
were allowed and ordered paid..
The Board adjourned.
