The Board of Trustees convened at 8:00 p.m. pursuant to ad-
journment of n -et . 17th. Thera were present .Trustees Deaver, Black
and Keeney. Trustees Hale and Polendorf were absent. The meeting was
called to order by Trustee Deaver, President of the Board pro tem.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
.A permit was granted to E. C. Cary, for Mrs. M. Green, for the
construction of an addition to a building at 19 South Sacramento St.
. Trustee Keeney moved, seconded by Trustee Black, that 0.W..
Siega.lkoff and J. W. Irey be appointed special police officers to
serve at fires, to be invested with police authority, not .to in-
clude the carrying of firearms, and to serve without -Xtra pay. The
motion carried.
Geo. H. Tyson, general agent the Protector Underwriters, no-
tified the Board, undar date of 17th inst., that the premium on policy
#767335 covering $2500 on library. building, had not been paid and
threatened to cancel the policy if not paid within five days. The
records show that the premium, 436.00, was paid to Agent P.A.Henning
January 3d and the company had been so notified. Agent Henning was
also notified to adjust the matter with his company.
Trusted Black moved, seconded by Trustee Keeney, that a spec-
ial committee of the Board be appointed to arrange details of the
plans and specifications for the swimming tank building and to adver-
tise for bids for construction of the same. The motion carried and
the Chair appointed Trustees Black, Keeney and Deaver.
In the matter of the Southern Pacific Company's application
for permit to build a spur track on ;Main street a letter was received
from th Railroad Commission stating that permission would not be
granted for the construction os such track without giving a full hear-
ing in the case.
The Board adjourned.
