The Board of Trustees of tha City of Lodi convened in regular
sessTor. 't ?:O0 r. m. There were ^resent Trustees Hale, Black, Keeney,
Denver and Folendorf.
Minutes of the previous .*.meeting were reed and approved.
Building permits ware granted as follows:
J.H.?JcGrlff. , woodshed at 321 East Pine street.
G.G.Herper, addition_ to dwelling at 21? lush Avenue.
The monthly r?Tort of City Marshal Coleman for the month of
Mav R.s read -and ordered filed.
The application of Sherman warren for employment in the onera-

RESOLUTION OP INTEDTTTION TO OPEN AN ALLEY

INTEREAS, tha public interest and convenience renuires thet an
alley' opened in that certain block of Ayers and Pitchers Addition
to T,oii_, which is bounded on the North by Lockeford Street, on the East
by Pleasant Avenue, on the South. by Locust Street, and on the West by
PUto,,ire Street ,-
TERE_ORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is the intention of this I.
Board of Trustees or the City of Lodi to order the following work to be
done and improvements made, namely, to open an alley running between
HUtchinA Street and Pleasant Avenue, in said City of Lodi, through the
land above described;
That the following is a description of the land deemed neces-
sary to be taken therefore, namely: --
Starting at a _point on the WeSt line of the Northwest Quarter
of Section One (1), Township Three (3) North, Range Six (6) East,Mount
Diablo Base and Meridian, Ninety (90) feet North of the Southwest cor-
ner of said Quarter Section, and running East 741.5 feet to the West
line of Pleasant Avenue; thence Southerly along said street line,
Tx'enty (20) feet; thence West 711.5 feet to the East line of Hutchins
Street; thence North along said East line of Flitch ins Street; Ten (10 )
feet; thence West, Thirty (30) feet to the West line of the above
named Section; thence North along said Section line Ten (10) feet to
the pint of beginning;
That the exterior boundaries of the lands to be affected and
bnrefited by said work and improvements, and to be assessed to pay the
da-', costs and expenses thereof, is the land first above described,
