Minutes cf the Previous meeting were read and approved. Building permits were granted as folicws: A. B. Hoag, to remodel Black's garage on ':orth Sacramento street. John V. Thompson, store building on South 50 feet of Lots 1 and 2 Block 14. William Feil, private garage at 402 West Locust Street. F. L. Cornwell, poultry rouse at 208 Hilborn street. _.' P. Roper, Private garage at 416 West Locust street. A. H. Bull, for ,mss Caverly, addition to building at 308 East Walnut street. C. E. Hamilton and Bennett Devon applied for enrlcyoent at the c city nark_, which applications were ordered filed. The report of Plumbing Inspector Henning for the month of April was r'rd and ordered filed. In the matter of the petition of W. T. Owens for permission to buildi a spur track, from the Central California Traction Connany's railroad on North Sacramento street to his fruit shed, a protest signed by J. W. Dougherty and twelve other property owners having beer. filed, on ]notion Monday, Bay 22d at 8:00 n.m. was designated as the time for a. hearing. In the matter of the proposed opening of an alley between Locke— ford and Locust streets, from Pleasant Avenue to Hutchins street,upon notion of Trustee Black, seconded by Trustee Keeney, the City Attor— ney was authorized to take the necessary legal steps to open the alley petitioned for. A petition signed by tree California Wine Company, Lodi Wine Com— pary, Lodi Soda Works and Wilkinson & Wilkinson, wholesale liquor dealers, praying for certain specified amendments to Ordinance No 78, was read. The Petition was ordered filed and the matter was referred to a committee of the whole. Trustee Keeney moved, seconded by Trustee Black, that all legit— i*na.tehe Board of Freeholders be paid by warrants on the treasury upon claims regularly filed and bearing the o.k. of the president and secretary of the Board of Freeholders. The motion carried unanimously. Upon motion of Trustee Keeney, seconded by Trustee Black, he Clerk was authorized to sell to D. D. Smith the balance of the First rttional Bank fixtures on hand, -excepting the large desk, for $20.00. The Board adjourned. Attest: City Clerk.
