The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in regular
session. at 8:00 p. m. There, were present Trustees Hale, Black, Fol-
endorf, Keeney and Deaver.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Upon notion regularly made., seconded and unanimously carried,
the compensation of election officers serving at the election or
April 10th, 1916, was fixed at N5.00 each.
The returns of the election held in the city of Lodi on the -
above date were canvassed and the result declared by the adoption of
the follorir_g resolution.:
J W.rM'E&S, A General yunicipal-Election_ was held in the City of
Lodi, State of California, on ;�:onday, the Tenth day of April, 1916,
for the purpose•of-electing two members of the Board of Trustees; a
Clerk ant? ex -officio Assessor; a Treasurer; and a Board of Fifteen
Freeholders, to frame a charter for the.City of Lodi; and to vote
upon the following propositions:
Proposition Yo. 1.- Shall -the Board of Trustees of the City of
Lodi construct a Municipal Swirsring Tank, at a cost not exceeding
,$6000?
Prorrosition No. 2.- Shall the City of Lodi acquire, maintain
am euerate a municipal Street Paving Plant?
Ar'D WHEREAS, It appears that said election was held anal con-
ducted in accordance wiih the general election laws of the States
so fox as the same were auplicable; and that the Board of Trustees
gave such notice of election as prescribed by ordinance, and appoint-
ed Boards of Election, f ix4d their conTpensation, and established elec-
tion precincts and polling places; and that said -election w�is held
and conducted and the votes cast thereat werp received and canvassed
and returns trereon ma;:e in time, fora and manner as required by law;

next succeeding the date of said General Municipal Election, for
the purpose of canvassing the vote cast thereat, ;erereupon it was

Trustees of the City of Lodi that at the Ger_eral lunicinal•Election

And it is also further determined and declared:
That Proposition. No. 1, havir_g• received 470 affirmative and
442 negative votes, was carried in the affirmative.
That Proposition. No. 2, having received 625 affirmative and
294 negative votes, was carried it the affirmative.
The Clerk and the Treasurer, respectively, before entering upon
the duties of their respective offices, shall execute a bond to the
City oP Dodi, in such sum as required by ordinance, which bonds shall
be arvroved by the Board of TruStee•s; the bond of the Treasurer shall
be filed with the Clerk; the bond of the Clerk shall be filed with
the President of the Board.
All newly elected officers before entering upon the duties of
the offices to which they have been elected, shall take and subscribe
—' to the constitutional -oath of office, and file the same with the
Clerk.
Trustee Deaver moved the adoption_ of the resolution as read,
which was seconded by Trustee Folerdorf. The motion was carried by
the following -vote:
Ayes—Trustees Black, Keeney, Deaver, Folendorf and Hale.
Drays— 14 -one .
The report of the City Clerk for the quarter ending march
31, 1916, was read and ordered filed.
The application. of W. Boden for employment as driver of a
strpat wrinkling wagon was read and ordered filed.
J. H. Bowling's application for the position of tree warden
was rend and ordered filed.
A permit was granted to Otto Welhe to construct addition to
a building at 15 West Locust street.

Upon motion of Trustee Black -the Board adjourned sire die.
