The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in regular session at 8:00 p.m., there being present Trustees Hale, Folendorf, Keeney, Deaver and Black. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as cor- Building permits were granted to the following: F.F.Irey, to tear down building on Church street, near Pine. A.N.Hostetler, dwelling on lot 22, block C, Barnhart Tract. Chas.I.R1ee,addition to dwelling at 421 West Pine Street. T. Sumita, private garage, 123 E. Elm St., to be built on the rear of the lot facing Stockton street. Fuller Lumber Company, private garage, 20 North Stockton St. F. G. Cary,addition to dwelling at 201 North School Bt. P. Knudsen, to remodel dwelling at 221 East Pine street. Clark & Henery Construction Company applied for 30 days ex- tension of time in which to complete their contract with the Super- intendent of Streets for the improvement of Pine street from the center line of Garfield street to the easterly city limits. The following resolution was introduced by Trustee Folendorf: RESOLUTION. 110.13. RESOLVED, that the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Lodi, California, be and he hereby is empowered and directed to ex- tend by thirty (30) days the time for completing that certain con- tract with Clark & Henery Construction Company, and dated the 3d day of December, 1914, for the improvement of Pine Street from the center line of Garfield Street to the easterly City Limits of said City. Upon motion of Trustee Folendorf, seconded by Trustee Black, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the affirmative votes of Trustees Folendorf, Keeney, Black, Deaver and Hale. Clark & Henery Construction Company applied for 30 days ex- tension of time in which to complete their contract with the Super- intendent of Streets for the improvement of Pine Street from the easterly line of Cherokee Street to the westerly line of Grand Avenue.' The following resolution was introduced by Trustee Folendorf: RESOL7TION NO. 14. RESOLVED, that the Superintendent of Streets of 'the City of Lodi, California, be and he hereby is empowered and directed to ex- tend by thirty (30) days the time for completing that certain con- tract with Clark & Henery Construction Company, and dated the 3d day of December, 1914, for the improvement of Pine Street from the east- erly line of Cherokee Street to the westerly line of Grand Avenue. Upon motion of Trustee Folendorf, seconded by Trustee Keeney, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the affirmative votes of Trustees Folendorf, Keeney, Black, Deaver and Hale. RESOLVED, that the superintendent of Streets of the City of Lodi, California, be and he hereby is empowered and directed to ex- tend by thirty (30) days the time for completing that certain con- tract with Clark & Henery Construction Company, and dated the 3d day of December, 1914, for the improvement of Pine Street from the east- erly line of Grand Avenue to the westerly line of Garfield Street Upon motion of Trustee Folendorf, seconded by Trustee Deaver, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the affirmative votes of Trustees Folendorf, Black, Keeney, Deaver and Hale. The annual report of Fire Chief Stark was read and ordered . filed. The report of Plumbing Inspector Henning for the month of April was read and ordered filed. A petition signed by Gust Boese and twenty-six other property owners on East Locust street, Grand Avenue and Railroad Avenue pro- testing against the location of the Shell Company on lots 6 and 7, block 48, on Railroad Avenue, and requesting the Board to refuse to grant the said company a building permit was read and ordered filed. E. H. Stark and Gus Gerlach for the fire department requested the Board to provide a place to store the fire ladder on the Fried- rected. 410 bergar property betwteen Sacramento and School streets. Upon motion of Trustee black,'seconded by Trustee Folendorf, the fire depart— nert was authorized to make the necessary arrangements for the stor— age of the fire ladder and present their bill to the City.
