Municipal Building, Lodi, Cal., bay 3, 1915.
The Board of Trusteess of the City of Lodi convened in reg-
ular Session at 8:00 p.m. There were present Trustees Hale, Black,
Deaver, Keeney and Folendorf.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and ordered cor-
rected as to the matter of the sewer and water extension asked for
by 0. W. Kinney and others between DeForce Avenue and Lockeford
street in block B, Ayers & Pitchers Addition.
Building permits were asked for and granted as follows:
G. M. Birt, dwelling on lot 10, block C,Bar nhart Tract.
C. Freshour, addition to dwelling on lot 6, block 5,
Barnhart Tract.
D. W. Aronhalt, private garage on lot 2, block 2, Cor-
dier Tract.
C. D. White, sleeping porch, lot 9, block 7, Hutchins Oak
Street Addition.
Sam Morrow, dwelling, lot 11, block C, Barnhart Tract.
F. F. Cordway, to move building from Cherokee lane to lot
1, block 35, City of Lodi, and remodel the same for a dwelling.
The latter permit was granted with the provision that the moving
of the building was to be under the supervision of the City
Marshal.
H. G. Miller, bill board at corner of East Pine street
and Cherokee lane.
D. Beronio asked the Board to construct 200 feet of sewer
to be located in a proposed alley running south from Daisy Avenue,
parallel with Pleasant Avenue. Referred to Public Utilities Coarnittee."
The resignation of 0. J. Hemphill as a member of the Board
of Health was read and on motion laid over till the next meeting.
S. W. Hopkins, president of the Board of Health, called
the attention of the Board of Trustees to7the fact that the health
authorities were handicapped in the matter of enforcing the city
ordinances in not having an attorney. The Board was requested to
appoint an attorney to prosecute violators of the laws. The mat-
ter was referred to a committee of the ;;hole.
The Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company applied to the
Board to purchase a one-half interest it one 40 -foot pole cn
North Sacramento street between Locust and Lockeford streets. As
a part of the labor of setting this pole was done by the telephone
company and a part by the city Superintendent Henning recommended
that a one-half interest be sold for *3.00 which upon motion was
so ordered.
Superintendent of Streets Coleman presented his acceptance
.of street improvement on West Elm street, the alley running through
the block bounded by School, Elm, Sacramento and Pine streets; the
alley running through the block bounded by School, Oak, Church and
Pine streets and between the west line of School street,and:a line
parallel thereto and distant therefrom 160 feet westerly from said
west line of School street, which acceptance was ordered filed.
The City Engineer j 'esented a plat of a proposed resubdi-
vision of lots 2, 3 and 4, block 9, Hutchins Addition, or. behalf
of the trustees of Lodi Union High School stating that the school
board desired to dedicate to the city a 20 -foot alley running
northerly through said resubdivision, whereupon the following res-
olution was introduced and adopted:

WHEREAS, The Board of Trustees of the Lodi Union High
School ras.offered to dedicate a twenty -foot alley running northerly •
from Lodi Avenage through the center of block number 9 of Hutchins
Addition to Lodi; be it
RESOLVED, That the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi,
in regular session this 3d day of May, 1915, does hereby accept
for public use forever the above described alley.
The above resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the
Board upon motion made by Trustee Keeney, seconded by Trustee
Folendorf.
City Marshal Coleman's report for the month of April was
_rsad and ordered filed.
