Corbin addressed the Board • in favor of 'a building or- dinanceand'recomr.nnded that the. City of Lodi acopt a law similar to the Oakland building ordinance. • 4The Board of Health, `trough Attorney Ciiarrell, _e:;plained. proposed Treasures covering the health department and the plumbing ordinance3,callirg attention to sanitary matters at covered by existing ordinances; also the manner of appointing a health of i`1- 'cer and fixing his salary. The health board suggested that the Board of Trustees, by ordinance, amend Section 36 of ordinance 52 -an -was instructed to prepare the proposed, amendment.and re- port back -to the. Board with such recommendations as its judg- ment deered proper. The natter of filling the vacancy caused by the resignation of -City Aecorder Breitenbucher was taken up and upon motion of Trustee'KReney,'seconded by Trustee Folendorf, George P. HaLl'I"..a Was unanimously elected. ` After a lengthy discussion regarding tie proposed improve- ment of East Pine street, upon notion of Trustee Deaver, seconded by -Trustee Folendorf, it was ordered that "all trees that inter- fere with the curb line on East Pine street be removed." Upon roll call the vote on above notion'stood as follows: Ayes--zolendorf, Kerrey, Deaver. Yoes--!ale, Black. The matter of providing sewer service for ti -fruit packing ,s ieds of J. J.
