Erich. 9th. 1914 In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi , the following trustees being present, C.A.Black, J.M.Blodgett,F.C. Hale,and a.E.Lawrenoe.President Lawrenoe presiding. The minutes of the meeting of Mareh Sin. were read and approved. Buildingpermiis 'were gaanted to F.B.Milla and Mrs. S.E.E.HOush . J.M.Blodgeitt voted ho on the Roush permit. The report of the Plumbing Inspector was read add aooepted. H.E.Weloh stated that he was committee from the Lodi Merchants Asan. in regard to traffics on North Sacramento St. HE stated that the Trao- tion Oo.would if alloyed to put in a switch at the north end of Sacra mento street run certain trains through to the north end of said street as fellews;7*45 am. 9.45 ant.1L.45 am. 2.45 pm,. 4.45.pn:.6.45pa. and 7.53 pm. Re said that the warehouse people in that locality were willing to have the switch put ln.front of their property.No action taken.. F.Samners asked if the Lodi Avenue property owners could use the OUT Hall for *meeting next Thursday evening.Permission granted. Claims anatettt.., to 41195.7. having been :,�;:. � . by the Finance Committee were ardered paid.• The certifleate of appointment and oath of office of C.lRieh *ere read by the President of the Board . Certificate Max of Deposit Ne.29635 dated Maroh -9th. 1914 on the Bank of Lodi In the amount of One thousand ($Im o.) dollars payable to the City of Lodi was accepted from C.,A,Rieh in lieu of a bond. It was moved by Blodgett and seconded by Black that the foregoing described Certificate of Deposit be accepted by rhe Board ofTrustees as the Bond and Surity of C.A.Rioh.as City Clerk. The motion oarried. Motion that the President of the Board be authorized to notify the City Treasurer of the resignation of J.M.MeNehon as City Clerk and the appointment of C.A.Rioh in his place and that the said C.A.Rich had qualified as City Clerk on March 9th. 1914 oarried. The following Resolution was read and on motion oarried as follows. Ayes ,Blaok Blodgett Hale and Lawrence. Noes None. Resolved. WHEREAS, the resignation of J.M.MsMahon ,City Clerk of Lodi ,has been presented to this Board: and, MORELS, his oonduet of the affairs of said office has been such as t a endear him to this Board es an associate and as an efficient business man, and WHEREAS, he has during his ineuebaney extending over a period of more than seven years managed the affairs of said office to the entire satisfaction of this Board and in a manner to commend him to the entire citizenship of the City of Lodi , and WREREA9, this Board is sensitive of the loss this City sustains in parting with the services of one so well qualified for the position: NOW THEREFORE BE IT Ramona) by the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi that we deeply deplore that circumstances are Duch as to make his resignation necessary abd we accept the same with sincere regrets and we further express our appreoiation for the thorough ,efficient and masterly manner In which he has at all times discharged the duties ofthis important office. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the full Board of Trustees sigh this res- olution on behalf of said City and that a copy hereof be apesadxtam presented toaaid retireing Clerk and that athis isesolution be spread in full on the minutes of this meeting.
