In regalarsession of the Board cf Trustees of the City Of Lodi,the following trustees beim present: C.A.B_ack,J.M.Blodgett, G.E.Lawrerce and C.A:Rich. Absent: Trustee T.C.Hale. President Lawrence presiding. The minutes of the meeting: of Feb.24,1914,were read and approved. A letter from; KOERTING EROS. in regard to a generating plant for electric current was read and filed. The report of City L'_arshal Coleman for the month of February was read and accepted. The report of Entineer Farzellotti on the ratter of storm drains for East Pine Street was read and referred to Public Utilities Committee. F.B.Mills was granted a permit to erect an addition to a dwelling on lot 6 bloc: 2.' The atiulication of S.E.E.Housh to erect a mlaster board wood house on lot 13 blcc__ 16 vas laid on the table for one .reek. Tre resignation of J.Y..3:.c.2.:anon as City Clerk was read,and a reouest made by the Clerk that the Board accept the resignation now, in view of the fact that nomination papers for city offices be filed forty days before election. On_notion of Blodgett,seeonded by Plac__,the resignation was accepted by the aff_rmative votes of Blacl:,Blodgett,Larrence and Rich. It was moved by Rich,seconded by Flack and Blodgett,that a vote of thanks be tendered Mr.].:cL:aeon for the efficient services rendered by him to the Board as well as to the City,which motion was carried unanimously. Trustee Rich of the Street Cor ittee,in the absence of Chairnan Hale of said co?:r_ittee,reror_ed that G.E.Hen:•on would have his buildings moved for S30. The Committee recommended that F.enton be allowed that amount to rove the buildings. Various claims against the Cit: amounting to .$3047.33,having been approved by Finance Committee were allowed and ordered paid. The resignation of C.A.Rich as a Member of the Board was read. It was roved by Black,seconded by Blodgett,that the resignat— ion be accepted with the deepest regrets. On motion of Blodgett,seconded by Black,the President of the Board was ccnstituted a committee to draft resoluions on the retirement of the Clerk and Trustee Rich. The applications of C.A.Fich and H.S.Clark fcr appointment as City Clerk for the unexpired term of J.i .KcL.annon,resigned,were read. It was noved by Blodgett,seccrded by black,that C.A.Rich be appointed City Clerk for the unexpired term cf J. '._:c'_aton,r-esigned. The notion was carried and the aproint ent nade b • the affirmative votes of C.A.Black,J.M.Blodgett and G._.Lawrence. Hale absent. On motion,the Board adjo..rned until Har.9,1914,at the usual' hour and place. Attest: City Clerk.
