In regularsession of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi,the following trustees being present: C.A.B1ack,J.M.Blodgett-, G.E.Lawrence and C.A.Rich. Absent: Trustee r.C.Hale. President Lawrence presiding. The minutes of the meeting of Feb.24,1914,ti^e_e read and approved. A letter from KOERTING EROS. in regard to a generating plant for electric current pas read and filed. The report of City Marshal Coleman for the icnth cf February was read and accepted. The report of Engineer Farzellotti on the natter of storm drains for East Pine Street was read and referred to Pu lic Utilities Comr.-ittee . F.B.Mills was granted a permit to erect an addition to a dwelling on lot 6 block 2.' The application. of S.E.E.Rcush to erect a plaster board wood house on lot 13 blcc: 16 rap laid on the to le for one veea. The resignation of J.M..:c!.:ahon as City C1er.: was read,and a request made by the Clerk that the Board accept the resignation now, in view of the fact that nomination papers for city offices 17e filed forty days before election. On motion of Blodgett,seconded by Flac_,the resignation was accepted by the affirmative votes of Blao?.,Blodgett,Larrence and Rich. It was moved by Rieh,seconded by Black and Blodgett,that a vote of thanks be tendered L1,r.?.1cYahon for the efficient services rendered by him to the Board as well as to the City,which motion was carried unanimously. Trustee Rich of the Street Contittee,in the absence of Chairman Hale of said committee,reported that G.F.Hencn could have his buildings roved for S3O. The Committee recommended that Henton be allowed that amount to move the buildings. Various claims against the Cit'- amounting to .S3C47.38,having been approved by Finance Comp_:it tee were allowed and ordered paid. The resignation of C.A.Rich as a Wenber of the Board was read.. It was moved by B1aok,seconded by Blodgett,that the resignat— ion be accepted with the deepest regrets. On motion of Blodgett,seconded by Black,the President of the Eoard was constituted a corrittee to draft resoluiors on the retirement of the Clem, and Trustee Rich. The applications of C.A.Rich and H.S.Clarh for app.cint02ent as City Clerk for the unexpired term of J.L`.L c?.tahon,resigned,were read. It was moved by Blodgett,seconded by Bla h,that C.A.Rich be appointed City Clerk for the unexpired term: cf J.M...ahon,resio ed. The notion was carried and the appoint:. ent : aae by the affirmative votes of C.A.B1ack,J.L`.Blodgett and G.E.Lawrence. Hale absent.
