Municipal Building,Lodi,California.Feb.24,1914.
In adjourned regular -session cf the Board of Trustees of the
City of Lodl,the following trustees being present: C.A.Black,J.W..
B1odgett.F.O.Hale,G.E.Lawrence and C.A.Rich. President Lawrence
presiding.
The minutes of the meeting of Feb.16,1914,were read. and
approved.

The following applications for Building Permits were read
and granted:
W-R.Heney,small steble and chicken houses on lots 3&4 blk 37;
Julius Rode.remodellins front at 15 W.Elm St.;
An application cf City Street Improvement Company.dated
Feb.21,1914.for permission to construct concrete curbs and gutters
and pave the roadway with Elcsico pavement on East Fine Street from
the East line of Main Street to the West line of Cherokee Lane,was
read.
It was moved by P1ack,seconded by Hale,that the permit be grant-
ed with the proviso that the City Engineer's fee for the work be 34,
to be paid by the company to the city,and that the company guarantee
the work for a period of five years. The motion was carried by the
affirmative votes of Trustees B1ack,Elodgett,.Hale,Lawrence and Rich.
A petitior.,dated Feb.17,1914.endorsed."Before the Board
of Trustees of the City of Lodi. In the Matter of the Proposed Annex-
ation of Territory to the City of Lodi. Petition for Election. Filed
Feb.24.1914. J.M.McMahen.City Clerk"oWas read. Attached to said
petition was the certificate of the City Clerk as to its sufficiency.
A resolution.entitled."In the Matter of the Proposed Annex-
ation. of Territory to the City of Lodi. RESOLUTION CALLING ELECTION".
was read.
It was m-ved by Blodgett.seconded by Hale. that the resolution
be adorted as read.which motion was carried and the resolution
adorted by the following vote: Ayes;B1ack.B1cdgett,Hale.Lawrer.ce
and Rich. Noes;Ncne.
A petition asking for a "No License" election under the
Wylie Local Option Law.havirg been certified by the Clerk,was
presented to the Board.
Matter of moving the Berton buildings was referred to
Street Corrrittee.
On motion. the Presider, was authorized to sign a contract
for current with Mason Bros.
The claim.. cf J.M. ^ Yahon for £1t .6G mon ys paid out was
aprroved by Finance Coarittee and orderea payed.
