Pursuant to adjournment of December 6th, the Board of Trus-
tees of the City of Iodi convened at 8 o'clock F. M., there being
.present Trustees Montgomery, Hale, Crose Pre, Hickok. Trustee Rich
was absent on account of illness.
Minutes of the regular meeting of December 6th were read and
approved.
FSOTnVTON X10. 114.
RESOLVED, that the proposed ordinance No. 116 be, and it is
hereby amended, by the insertion of another section therein to be
numbered Section 113, and that saia section read as follows:
Section 113. A statement of the facts constituting the ne-
cessity of this ordinance going into immediate effect is as follows:
Mary cases of rabies have developed among dogs in the State
of California, and the.ccunties of said State have passed like ord-
inances, and the State Board of Health has requested all municipal
corporations to co-operate to the end that concerted action may be
had to prevent the spread of rabies.
Many dogs are running loose without muzzles in the City of
Lodi at the present time and they may be infected with rabies, and
immediate action is imperative to prevent the spread of this dis-
ease.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Hale, Hickok, Crose and Montgomery.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee Rich.
ORDINAN(F M0. 116.
"An Ordinance Providing for the Muzzling of Dogs, and for the
Eradication of Rabies ir_ the City of Lodi, and Prescribing a Pen-
alty for the violation of its Provisions," having been introduced
for passaee December 6th, 1920, and laid on the table for not less
than five days, was upon motion of Trustee Crose, seconded by T_rus-
Hickok, finally passed and adopted, as amended by resolution No.114,
by the followng vote:
Ayes: Trustees Crose, Hickok, Hale and Montgomery.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee Rich.
RES0T.UTT_ON NO. 115.
RESOIV.tD, that public interest and necessity demands the
acquisition, construction and completion of the following munici-
pal improvements in and for the City of Lodi, County of San Joa-
quin, State of California, to -wit:
FIRST: The acquisition, construction and completion of ad-
ditions to the water works of said City, including additional
water trains, also the acquisition of additional fire apparatus.
SECOND: The acquisition, construction and completion of
storm sewers for said City, and additional electrical equipment.
THIRD: The acquisition, construction and completion of ad—
ditions to the sanitary sewers of said City.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the cost of each and all of the mu-
nicipal improvements above mentioned. will he too great to he paid
out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of said City of Lodi.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Hale, Hickok. Crose and Montgomery.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee Rich.
Upon motion of Trustee Hickok, seconded by Trustee Hale,
the City Clerk was authorized to advertise for bids for furnishing
750 feet of 6 -inch cast iron water pipe.
°NUREAS, there has been presented to the Board of Trustees
of the City oflodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, this
13th day of December, 1920, a map or plat of tract or subdivision
of lard laid out in lots for the purpose of sale, which trap is en-
titled, "AI. -BRIGHT ADDITION", and
WFFREAS, said map shows the exact location of such a subdi-
vision with reference to adjacent subdivisions the maps or plats
of which have been previously recorded; and }
WERnAS, the boundary lines of the parcels offered for dedi-
cation for public streets, alleys or avenues conform with the lines
of adjacent streets, alleys or avenues; and
WEFRFAS, the City Engineer recommends the approval of this
map and the acceptance of such parcels as dedicated for public use;
RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi, Coun-
ty of San Joaquin, State of California, that said plat or rap be
and is hereby approved, and that the streets, alleys or avenues
offered for dedication be, and are hereby accepted:
BE IT FURTFER RESOLVED, that the President of the Board of
Trustees be and is hereby authorized to endorse upon said map the
approval of said map and the acceptance of said streets by this B
Board.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Hale, Cross, Hickok and Montgozery.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee Rich.
Mrs. R. ;V. Young applied for the position of Manager of the
Municipal Baths for the season of 1921. The application was ordered ;-
filed and referred to Trustee Hickok.
Superintendent Henning was authorized to extend the sewer
and water systems to Willow Tract, Albright Addition and the Clyde
Needham School.
The City Clerk was instructed to communicate with Superin-
tendent Gaylord of the Southern Pacific Company reauestinR him to
confer with the members of the Board relative to the improbement
of Main Street in the City of Lodi.
No further business appearing the Board /ladjourned.
